So much for being "out of the Hot Toys game". Is it because of the large box? I guess size does matter!

Mine arrived yesterday along with WW84 Golden Armor (talk about large boxes! ), but I've yet to open him up.

Has anyone besides Dean Knight do outdoor pictures of this? I’m too lazy to go though all these pages and i want to see more figures this vibrant outside. I’m getting this once it it’s in stock at sideshow (too lazy to preorder) and will do outdoor pictures with all my other Spider-Man figures.

Haha yeah, I know I seem to be contradicting myself, but there are a few outstanding figs I still need to get before I hang up the cape (plus I've got like 2 preorders still pending [BD IM Mk 85 and Into Spider-Verse Miles Morales]). Cyborg Spidey is def on my list as well.

But yeah, I'm def starting to lose interest in HT/Marvel. We'll see...

So finally got around to unpacking mine and while it's a great figure, mine does unfortunately have a bit of wrinkling around the neck, which I do find a bit distracting.

Does anyone know if I put a little steam to it if that'll help get the wrinkle/crease out? Or would that potentially damage the material?

@gmoney5000 ... that's more wrinkling than my first copy, I should really open the second to see what it looks like. I might try very gentle heat from a blow dryer to see, but I feel it would only soften the material and you'd still need to smooth it and form it somehow. Or just pose so that the material flattens out.

You're right...maybe I should leave the neck contorted a bit so the material gets smoothed out...although I'm worried if I do that then I'll crease the back of the neck? I dunno...how did it even get wrinkled like that in the first place.

I'd try a blow dryer, but my only hesitation is it's not actual fabric, so I'm afraid I'd damage the material...

That's the same area where the wrinkle shows up on mine. I'm guessing there's something wrong with how the suit was sewn in place. Maybe there's too much tension in one of the seams. This is likely an issue during assembly.

That neck wrinkling is common. It's on mine and I see it in all the reviews even Justin's.

Only thing I can think of is get a lighter, get close enough to heat shrink it. Have not tried this myself.

Try moving the neck back a bit. Avoid applying heat.

In general, I wonder if the expectation is realistic. Clothes wrinkle, especially when worn. Why would our 1/6 figures be any different? Ironically, we praise sculptors that incorporate folds and wrinkles into their static pieces. Maybe we should celebrate a few wrinkles on our articulated figures. To me, it is realistic to see a few wrinkles here and there.

True but for a skintight costume, a wrinkle like that in that area looks unnatural and out of place.

Lol that sounds absurdly risky and dangerous...I think I'll pass on that method.

I mean the Scarlet Spider suit wrinkles around the joints when bent, but it is thin enough it still looks completely fine because it scales similar to how a skin tight suit would look on a full size person. So many of these other figures are so thick and stiff at all scales it looks and behaves like a fabric made of much heavier vinyl that a real person would struggle to wear
