I still need Scarlet Spider. One of my faves in comics, though I’m deterred from most aftermarket prices…Scarlet Spider is the best SM to date. But doesn't have the classic suit. So i'd say the classic or wait for Tobey.
Sadly, I might end up cancelling my preorder of this guy, the suit is too volatile. Does anyone have QC issues like this?

Warning: if you are squeamish about seeing destroyed figures, do not watch the full video below (at the start and near the end). He explains at the end why he had to do this. I added the link to skip the intro, but around 9:44 the damage is shown in full, so just make sure to watch the time bar.
Can turn on CC auto-translate to get the english subtitles.
It’s worth it!I still need Scarlet Spider. One of my faves in comics, though I’m deterred from most aftermarket prices…
It looks good, but I'm not sure it looks better. It is a really nice design (outside of the cape which is of course story-specific) ...Hate to say it, but the Zombie Hunter Spidey actually looks better than this version!
great post. I have that same mego spidey. This should have come with the web backpackAs a kid, I used to carry around my Mego Spider-Man everywhere. I took a ball point pen and drew in the web lines on his face (as they where blank indented lines). I’d climb up my favorite tree with Spidey in hand and just imagine for hours. I’d color in my Spider-Man coloring book and watch the cartoon (the 60’s one with the classic theme song). I’d watch The Electric Company just in the hopes of seeing Spider-Man in live action, and then had to convince my parents to stop whatever they wanted to watch with the 70’s live action specials where aired.
I cut up a red t-shirt and tried to make a Spidey mask. I cut out metal screens for the eyes… not the brightest idea, as the metal edges scratched up my face. But, hot damn! I had a Spider-Man mask!
I haven’t gotten a new Spider-Man figure until now. I almost pulled the trigger on a few, but none had the allure like the classic suit. I never thought I’d have so much fun opening this guy up. It took me right back to the day I was in the tree with my Mego. The tree is gone now, but I gots me a new a Spidey!

It's not rubber. Some kind of vinyl. Looks plenty durable to me.So the suit is rubber? I just don't see it lasting very long. I would buy this in a heartbeat if I was convinced.
