I'm thinking other way around, 2 sets of fists and Tommy borrowed the open hands.

Here's my logic, HT sculpts Wolverine's fisted hands with the hair and all, then duplicates them and makes cuts for the blades. That way, they only sculpt one set of hands with a slight mod to change them as needed.

I think for Wolverine, unclawed fists is the better route with the second set (bone claws would have been best).

One thing about HT figures I dislike at the relaxed/open hands, they look more like they're posed to hold something, they don't look relaxed at all and not holding anything, they can look really goofy. Sideshow's are much better.

Actually the pic with the relaxed hands come from another magazine and they pretty much display exactly what comes with the figure. I'm pretty positive that he'll come with relaxed hands.

That'd suck, too passive for Wolverine and wouldn't look right to have the facial expression with hands just laying about like that. Though they probably figure no one's really going to use him without claws, but they really should put the effort and thought into things as a general rule. Even if most used the clawed hands, giving us appropriate alternates would be better. Other than making you feel you get a bit more value for the price tag, I see no benefit to the open hands on Wolverine.

I just realized Wolverine costs more than the Godfather. For that price, I would at least like a pair of bare fisted hands and pair of gripping hands as well.

I'd never use em. Wolverine will always be posed with claws.

For the cigar a fist with the first 2 fingers making a peace sign type pose is what you need, not an open hand, that or a fist type hand where the index finger and thumb can hold the cigar. Relaxed hand just would look right at all for a cigar.

Mine will always be posed with the claws. The only other hands I would want would be bone claws, mainly for the novelty of them.

Looks great on my Hellboy. I have the Dutch two-finger hand as well and that looks silly. People don't really casually hold them like that. People hold their hand just like a regular hand, but with a cigar in it.

Agreed. I smoke now and then, and never have any of my fingers forming a fist, feels unnatural. But of course everyones different.

But I'm thinking about this too much...I don't really give a ^^^^

I was hoping the blades would be removable from the fists.

At the end of the day I need me a Hot Toys Wolverine, but I'm usure of getting this, or waiting for a possible suited-up version. While the suited up version would look great with any more X-Men characters HT'll make, it would have to be film specific, whereas slight hair changes aside, this one is pretty representative of Logan in his civilian garb from XMO, X1 and X2.

i kinda think that any version would be perfect with other hot toys xmen. wolverine is woverine.or they can do like joker and make alternate suits and a mad wolverine head.

Those open hands dipped in hot water and reshaped a bit would be nice for posing him on a Harley Davidson or leave them so they look like he has his hands on the clutch and brake or something.

At this moment in time I'm preferring the wife-beater only look. Problem is if I displayed it like that permanently it'd collect dust and sunlight and become discoloured over time...hmm.

Well i keep my figs out of direct sunlight, and i use a duster and cloth, or a big ass paint brush to keep em clean.
