Just watched it again today. Still enjoy it as a whole. Forgot how bad the CGI blades were, remind me of the cartoon weapons in 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit'. Gonna pick this up within next month with any luck

I have my Wolverine this past Monday Jan. 25 from cornerstorecomics, I can't open the package the same day because I was working I opened the box yestarday I check the figure Hot Toys made a perfect job, I recheck the shirt and check pictures from you guys posting here and my figure missing two buttons, I check and recheck the box and nothing is there, what I can do

Opened mine. Beautiful. The jacket limits the forward articulation but what a jacket! If only Indiana Jones had a jacket of this quality.
The claws are amazing, so rigid and metallic I thought they would be cold. And the jeans are so authentic I want to wear down the knees.
I've got him on display with Hellboy and he blows Big Red away. There seems to be no top to what Hot Toys can do.

Why they decided on CG blades In have no idea.
I read some reviews after I saw the movie that critized the GCI and I of agreed less. However, every single time I see that movie on DVD I've noticed that the blades do looks quite bad especially compared the X3. The scene where he's in the old folks bathroom looks really bad. I don't see why they couldn't have been metal strapped to his hands for that scene.

There's no such thing in Hollywood as "if it ain't broke, don't fix it".
The blades were attached to his hands. If you watch the DVD behind the scenes, his blades are a combination of CGI and 2 types of real blades, 1 rigid and one softer for stunts. I'm pretty sure that the only CGI used for his blades was for moments where he was cutting into people or like when he slashes the fire escape out from under Gambit, but I'm also certain any time he's just got them out but isn't piercing anything with them, they are real claws attached to his hands. I don't know who did the effects on previous X films, but ADI did it for Origins and it could be they just did a lesser job making them. The CGI for the film was a bit so-so though, I don't think Wolverine got much of a budget.
Jackman stated on Jonathan Ross that the first time they used the claws on that guy in the bar it was a fake arm held up to the person and the claws came out on some sort of pneumatic system. I don't think they ever used that idea again though.
Well yeah, all the times when the blades come out are CGI, but once they're out, I'm pretty sure unless the action requires CGI, like he can't really stab Liev, they're attachments on his hands.
He also stated on Jonathan Ross that when they were shooting the fight with Mystique they used real claws for one shot. The stunt woman didn't step out the fast enough and she got stabbed about an inch into her arm. It's a good interview it maybe on youtube. The funniest thing is that instead of the stunt woman seeking medical help instanly she celebrated with 'yeah I've been stabbed by Wolverine!'

Of course. Like I said, there are 3 types of claws used, rigid, soft, and CGI. Stunts where Wolverine's sort of rolling around and could roll onto the claws, they're real but soft foam and things like that which won't hurt him, if he's standing around or in poses where it's no danger, they use the rigid ones, and any stunt where the blades need to make close contact with something, they're CGI. There's nothing wrong with CGI, I just think, like they often do, ADI decided to reinvent the wheel a bit and make their own versions of the metal finish.
Speaking of stabbing claws, you actually have to use a little caution with this figure. First time I popped the hands off, it required a little force and when the joint came out of the arm, the blades snapped back into my palm and jabbed me pretty good, you could definitely break skin on them if you catch them the wrong way Wish the Predator figures had real metal blades too.

Thanks Ultimate Weapon, that sounds like a winner.
Weird, I used superglue to fix my button and the button's stuck on fine, the shirt isn't ruined, but definitely use what you feel is safest.

I had this prolem with one Logan,s button but fixed quickly with superglue and worked fine.
The only problem was the small size of these damn buttons
Yeah, the button size is the only issue I find with superglue, getting the button on but not getting it stuck to your finger or your finger stuck to the shirt, and it's too fine a button for tweezers.
