I tried to purchase one on ebay. It was a guy form China which made me nervous, but he had over 500 feedback and was an ebay top-rated seller. Also Had an Ebay account for several years.

Anyway, the thing bid to like $180 with $40 shipping charges. I bid $250 with less than 30 seconds left in the auction. After I bid, 3 more bids come zooming in for $200, $225 then 252.50. I lost the bid. Well, OK.

5 minutes later, the guy gives me a second chance offer to buy the item for $250.

So the options are 1) he has someone putting in bids to drive up the price, 2) he has two of the items (highly unlikely if a real figure), or 3) the winner refused to pay and he moved quickly to secure the sale (how is that possible in less than 5 minutes???)

Anyway, I think it's likely a fake and he's likely trying to pump up the price.

Meanwhile, all the other XMO Wolverines out there are $650 and up. What a joke... Why do these people bother? Who is going to pay that much?

I'm gonna keep trying to find a legit one, but am consigned to get a used one since it's much less likely to be a fake.

I've known this for a while and I don't think this has been posted, but on fake Wolverines, the button has three stitches and the in and out buttons pieces are reversed to the real Wolverine figure. The REAL Wolverine figures has 4 stitches with the outy, Fake has 3 stitches with inny button as shown in my photo:

By the way, I'm selling my original Wolverine Clothes, shoes, hands and claws for $175 Airmail shipped (everything but the head and body and no box or stand), I'm really hard up on cash at the moment. This lot would be really cool to use with the new Hot Toys Wolverine head coming out in March!!

I also like to add that the guyliner look is also a dead giveaway.

Wait; don't pay high insane prices for an X-men Origins Wolverine. And even if the X-Men Last Stand one isn't to your liking, the next Wolverine Movie figure might; and it'll be cheaper than an XMOW and probably better.

Take my word for it, I've done it several times (Ironmans, Predators, Terminators) only for a better and cheaper version to come out later.

Usually I would agree with this,I've done it plenty of times myself with iron man,terminator and predator.but no matter how good the new figure looks,its the origins outfit that is iconic.he used that outfit in multiple movies[at least the jacket] and I don't believe he will have it in the wolverine.so I might upgrade the head ]if they give us a killer jackman sculpt but by looking at x3 wolverine I doubt it]I will still keep the figure cause of the outfit.

I totally agree, the suit is the only reason why I'm so pumped for the figure. At lest HT made it look fantastic!
