With rubber/silicon you'll have added neck and shoulder articulation........ without unsightly joints (or just a cut at the shoulders)

Is there actually shouler articulation? (I don't mean where the arm meets the shoulder.)I didn't know that. I would have thought a rubber sheath would restrict that area too much. Same goes with the neck.

Too bad Hot Toys didn't include a swappable head like this one. Lost of poses would look awesome with this headsculpt!

That's his 'I'm having a mammoth dump' look. Yeah expression shouldve been more animated but not that particular expression

I would hope so... their later silicon bodies torso bodies have them, Dutch/Chris... HotAngel, Sheva, Chacha... Sheva having the most as it has to compensate for lacking a upper arm swivel joint cut.

The shoulder articulation (where you can move the shoulder up/dwn/L/R relatively to the body).

TT has double swivel joint for this...

(Dutch/Chris,HotAngel,Sheva,Chacha) has ball joints deep in the chest cavity of the inner body ...

Any word when Sideshow will start shipping these?
:chew

I have one of these ordered from sideshow as well and as far as I know it still says on their website Q1 2010... But with all the problems (financially...) soon to be caused by SS closing the EU warehouse I might have to find a supplier either in the UK or maybe even HK to supply me with him (and my IMIII BD and the new test version Tony Stark..) if anyone knows of any good suppliers in the UK or HK? that would be great.

I really cant wait for Wolverine coz he is awesome and all these great pics make the waiting even worse... :banghead

Are you guys sure that the upper body is rubber? I can't say I've seen anything in the pictures that shows this. Are they saying this in the other forums?

I'm wondering if you're on to something here. If you look at closeups of it and the detail shown, I don't see how it could be made of rubber. I wouldn't think rubber would show some of the dimpling of the skin and the ripped sinewy look of the muscles in his torso.

ETA Look at the last picture here. Could rubber have that kind of crisp detail?

You sure hate on this Wolverine figure. If it was by Enterbay you'd be lapping it up.

No one's factually confirmed yet, but this image seems like there's a regular body inside and a soft rubber exterior.

Also, in this shot, the back side of the torso smoothly wraps the left shoulder.

But in this shot, it seems like after posing, some of the rubber gets caught and tucked under itself.

Wasn't the whole purpose of using rubber previously to avoid showing joints? Given the problems that rubber presents, I don't know why they would put a thin rubber covering over the plastic arms here. I guess there is a minor visual difference, but does that overcome the drawbacks.

No one's saying the arms have rubber over them, just the upper half of his torso, the abs/chest/neck/back segment. Using rubber to define that anatomy, primarily at the shoulder, would allow the figure to look as close to human as a fully rubber muscle body would, but because it's just a thin covering, the figure will still have a lot of posability that muscle bodies don't.
