Glad it's of use guys. I was gonna include a few more of the smaller scale figures I have, but figured this covered most bases.
It makes you realise how crazy the mouth is on the McFarlane and NECA ones. And the Sega, which I have and love was pretty darn cheap when it came out, yet its the only one that had the dome go right over the back of the head, its still one of the best out there, if only it were a few inches bigger.
And one of my faves is still the Palisades bust, lots of artistic license, but it just looks visceral and nasty.
And considering the price, I'm always amazed at how much license was used on the Cinemaquette... have they EVER got a face 100% right... and by that I mean their god awful human heads as well, their Don Vito looked like he'd had a stroke.

Sorry guys, I don't cast or sell or do custom work for hire. I already have a job that's consumed one hobby.

When I was looking at the Cinemaquette Pred back when I was customizing my Pred I was surprised by the things it got wrong.

Better with mouth closed, no?

Yeah, a closed mouth would have been my preference. I never really use the inner mouth option as I don't trust it posed like that long term and I don't play with them.

So I am the only one with this?

Debating exchanging it. It doesn't really show, but on the other hand this wasn't a cheap figure. What would you guys do?

No, you're not. Mine's like that, didn't notice until I saw your post. Looking at other photos I would guess they're all like that. Here's one that's pretty close to the same angle as your photo.

All the other photos I've seen that show the left shoulder from the back have the same gap.

Yep, mines like that... not something I'd ever notice though, have to really look for it!

Oh, and great shot kylej, and welcome aboard!

Thanks for the welcome, but it wasn't my shot. It's just one of the many that show the gap as I was looking through previous shots in this thread.

I'll have to check mine for the gap... I didn't notice anything. But I know the shoulders can rotate forward a bit so that could be what the gap is from if its normal?

The Marmit is 23 inches tall! How much taller do you want it to be? :rotfl

Are you talking about the Sega?

:duh:monkey4... Yeah, I meant the Sega, aww shucks now I feel stoooo-pid!
PS
If any one would like to send me the Marmit, it would be given a good and loving home!

Looks much better. I wonder how much anyone here really cares about the articulated mouth? It seems to have taken the finished article one step away from what the sculptor intended.

Les, I love that you have more nit picks than me, and yet you love the figure. A commendable "glass half full" attitude. :)

I wish HT would stop doing "action features". The jaw articulation would probably work better if not for the stupid button pressing tongue action and likewise things like the Iron Man mkII and III would have much better articulation if not for the lights.

Give my articulation over lights and action features any day.

I redid the teeth and nails on mine today, I like it alot better and I already love this figure. Hopefully I didn't butcher it to badly.

I personally like the lights... and didn't find the compromise to great on the IM figures (at leas the Mark III that I own); but I could do w/o the action feature on the Big Chap and Dog Alien.

It works fine on the AVP and Aliens versions for some reason, but on this one it looks like it butchered an otherwise well sculpted (although not 100% accurate) mouth.

The lights on figures my argument's always been against them since I'd only ever have them on in photos and I can just do that in photoshop. A large amount of torso articulation was lost on the mkII and III for the lights.

I think butchered is a strong word, but the other thing not having the move-able mouth would have done would be to allow the head to be fully plastic instead of partially rubber.

True, butchered is a bit severe... how's maimed, or maybe disfigured :lol

Mostly just annoyed that it doesn't close on his own so now I've got a mouth-breather Alien :lol
