Welcome aboard speeddemon, I saw these pics over on FB, great pose.

But if he bleeds acid, what the hells gonna come out of its ass?

Too funny! I needed that.

Thanks for posting the comp pics of the HT with the Medi, Abake. Much obliged. :rock

My pleasure Les!
I followed your advice and did the teeth and nail polish on the HT alien, and it does indeed help a lot, thanks for insisting!
Also, I did another black wash and a few more touch ups on the Medicom alien, will try to post pics tomorrow. Unfortunately, my cheap-ass camera is acting up and changing rndomly set-ups while I take pics, so they all come out looking like crap...
Which also explains why I haven't done the HT review yet. Sucks.

Two Months ago I didnt know about Hot Toys and now i own 7 different figures from my favourite movies.

And now its time to own the Alien!

I really love the blank finish of the alien head from the first movie, but the humaniod upright position of all the pics i've seen is just awfull (But its movie accurate because he looked like that in the first movie)

I like this one much better buts it's sold out everywhere (MMS17 from the AVP line of figures).

The toilet pose above indicate that he is pretty posable, but his chest is still upright. Is it possible to pose the Big Chap like the AVP Alien?

ok, so its straight legs then.
This is probably allready covered in this huge thread, its 287 pages long.

Is this considered the best 1/6 scaled Alien out there? From the first movie...

edit: On hot toys page is says "Extendable set of inner jaws", but i havent seen any picture of it? On the other aliens there are plenty of pictures of the inner jaws.

Hot toys have failed in the whole design of the inner jaw and the mouth.

It's too short and the color and design has nothing to do with the real thing:monkey2:monkey2

I, and many others, think that the Medicom Alien, released a few years ago, is more screen-accurate, and overall, more clean looking, more "Giger-like" than the Hot Toys Alien (which to me, seems like a messy sculpt and not quite reminiscent of the original Alien as much as the Medicom version).

But Medicom Alien is only 12 inches tall (not true 1/6 scale unless maybe you want to pretend he's the "in between" Alien, soon after being born or something. :) This is the Medicom Alien (there's also a thread devoted to it in this forum):

Thanks!
That looks nice! Will check its thread. I also really like the Hot Toys Alien Warrior from AVP, but I didn't like the film that much... So it feels strange to buy a figure from that movie just becuase I like the design.

Yeah, the Medicom is better in my opinion.

But, I think the NECA is better than both of those.

You're referring to the NECA 18" Alien, right? I used to be into Mcfarlene (had a ton of stuff), but lost interest after Hot Toys came out. NECA makes some decent stuff though. For the 13 year old kid who wants to have something to play with, NECA delivers.
