Yep, I brushed them with a little dirty white paint. Not much, just enough to lighten the gums instead of having them HT black.

Just curious did you have to cut or trim some of the upper teeth?

I did not have to alter the teeth on mine... but like WG said I did have to move it around a bit to find the sweet spot.

You chromed the teeth, right? But did you add "blood" back to them? Just curious, never seen an alien out in the day light before.


No trimming of teeth necessary -- just press and shift the jaw around until the teeth/jaw line up. Then glue it that way. A very small drop will be all you need.

Thanks WG! Yeah I chromed the teeth. And no I didn't add any 'blood'. That is the original 'rust' color that hot toys added. I was just very careful with the silver leafing pen and tried to leave the color to better define the outline of the teeth.

And yes...I felt awkward bringing him out in daylight , but...I needed better pics of my mods.

I'm inclined to agree - it is really annoying. Especially if you're browsing on a phone. Now, in another thread I just quoted 3 pics almost immediately after they were first posted but I felt I needed to in order for people to know what I was talking about - and I edited out one pic that I wasn't referring to. But yeah I hate when people quote a post full of pics only to say 'great pics'. Oftentimes its literally the very next post, not even to repost the images on the subsequent page.

So Sabres, what did you think of the mods though? Improved, not improved, what's your take?

As for the mods, I think they're great.

I love the chroming on the teeth and nails.

And this piece definately benefits from having the mouth glued closed.

So, as far as that goes, it's some really great improvements.

I think I might end up doing them to mine as well.
