So the mouth does close all the way? How sturdy is this guy, I always hear the Aliens ones fall apart easily.

Actually, looks worse to me.

Too much of a forward slant to it now.

Hmm, the profile of the dome seems greatly improved from even the second re-do.

It has a pretty pronounced slope in the film (depending on the head, it looks a bit different from scene to scene).

It also sometimes has the slight dip behind the skull in the dome and sometimes does not.

No sir, I had to glue the teeth closed. The figure seems to be quite sturdy compared to the Aliens Warrior, more in line with the AVP version....plus, the chest is a plastic shell.

I have no problem with having to glue the mouth shut, but did you have to do anything to the lips or will it just look like that once the mouth is closed?

What you see is what you get. I just put a few drops of super glue on the back teeth & held the jaws shut until it dried.

That will be the plan for me when I get 'em. Looks GREAT with the mouth closed. Probably remove the tongue button too.

This figure is a real let down. It looks good and all, but I think that I'll wait till i can get it cheap like I did the Dog Alien. It just looks.....off in hand.

I believe this shot was shot in anamorphic scope to stretch the image which would make it look more elongated similar to how they shot the Beast in Krull.

Ah darn. And here I sat thinking that it looked massively improved. I almost had hope and almost went and ordered the fig. Now I'm back to "not so sure" again.

Normally I understand the complaints about inaccuracy. They're often things I don't care about but I get them. In this case If we're talking about the final in-hand Alien I don't see what's so horribly inaccurate about it. It just baffles me. Is it the tongue/inner jaw? I will agree that's wrong at least in color and perhaps even in scale (too small).

When compared side by side with the Medicom I don't see how the Medicom is so much more accurate. The only differences I see are scale, paint work, and slightly more accurate teeth shapes on the Medicom. The back "mollars" aren't quiet right on the Hot Toys.

None of these seem like the order-cancelling horrible how could they have possibly screwed up so badly inaccuracies it seems some people see. I just don't get it. I was totally on board with some of the ?????ing until I saw the in-hand pics which look pretty damn amazing. They fixed all the major issues from the first prototype and even from the second prototype the dome looks more correct to me as do the sort of lip area.

Really shows off how ugly the Hot Toys piece really is.

This thing really only looks decent from the side.

Now I see where they got this color for the body and dome. It looks close in this photo . Gonna have to paint teeth bright silver.
