Kind of like the T2 being on the tall side... not 100% accurate, but will give him more of an imposing presence.

I'm guessing those are Hong King Dollar, which would convert to 21 US$.

Are there foreign currencies that use the "$" sign, I thought it was just USD.

I just hope it doesn't make Sarah or even T-1000 look to small with him, especially Sarah, HT females tend to be on the short side compared to standard figures anyway.

Yeah, if he is 6' 2" (as Wikipedia says), then I'm not sure he should be towering over all the other 1/6 scale figures. But being so big does fit in with the spirit of him being this massive, unstoppable killing machine.

On the positive side, should be easy to mod a regular Medicom figure into John Conner.

Hot Toys has never been too good about scale of characters, especially women, seems like they only have one body for them and it ends up the equivalent of a foot shorter than their male figures, yet in some cases, they should be all the same height, like the Pirates line, Elizabeth should be about the same height as Jack and Will but she's about an inch shorter than them. Sarah's not a major figure, so I'm not TOO worried about how she stacks with the T-800, but definitely T-1000 hopefully won't look too off, and hopefully they use a slim enough looking body for Patrick's scrawny build.

Jep. :) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hong_Kong_dollar

Since I'm not planning on buying any other T2 figs (other than a T-800 BD version) I welcome the added height, really makes him stand out more IMO.

I'm also currently looking for a 1:6 bike, the Bright fatboy seems to be impossible to get ahold of though, at least for a reasonable price. Might have to settle for a similar looking one, too.

I would think that the figures in a given line would at least be in scale with one another, but as you note, the Pirates figures are all out of wack with one another, and Predator is not tall enough relative to Dutch.

I understand some inaccuracy with size, being that most figures are on reused bodies, but like I said, with the HT females, they only have the one height, they could at least have two heights and sure you'd have to compromise for a character that falls between the two, but in a property where the female isn't much shorter than the males, a whole inch in figure height is pretty significant.

The Predator one was a bit weird, though, because the AVP Preds were actually (to my eye) more in scale with Dutch, but the P1 Pred body was re-done not to be in scale. May have been a cost-saving move.

I always figure the Predator problem was that they recycled some bits from past figures but retooled others to be in proper proportion throughout the body, which ended up shaving height off the overall figure. Had they 100% tooled a properly proportioned body for the P1, it probably would have been a taller version of what we got.

Even if T-800 is taller, it's not glaringly larger than other figures, that might have been too much.

These issues don't bother me much, anyway, as long as they aren't too dramatic. But like you say, if Sarah ends up being 1 1/2-2 inches shorter than T-800, that might be a bit jarring to some.

Without having the Sarah in hand or having HT or Tommy Richardson do side by side shots, there's no telling, maybe she's on a taller body. I keep hoping like T-800's black shirt, they'll add a hair down head but that's not likely :lol

If they release a Young Connor i must buy it just to be able to do that classic protective pose...

Are you talking about here height or her part in the movie?
If the later, I think her character is one of the most interesting in the two first films.

Especially after in-hand pictures hit... But damn, this is close to the same level of hype as the DX Joker...

Even more so with T-800 for me, Joker was nice to have an accurrate one and have my first experience wiht PERS, but Joker and TDK don't have the meaning for me T2 and T-800 have.

For me, the figure is the least important of a T2 figure line, tops is T-800, then T-1000, then I'd actually care more about getting young John and finally Sarah, I think all 4 are important to have, but Sarah means the least to me so if something didn't come out quite right with here I could live with it.

Yeah, I just meant overall SSF board hype. The T800 is far more iconic and it's not as if we've been inundated with a bunch of different versions of this figure over the past few years.... This thing needed to be updated.

PERS and the launch of the DX line had a lot to do with how (over?)-hyped the Joker release was.
