I have a good feeling about the T-1000. I think yulli will do a great job on that headsculpt...its not a guarantee, but I have a feeling. Necas one is good, the best we've had, but its a bit too longheaded. With Yulli's tendency towards a slightly-shorter-than-it-ought-to-be head for Arnie that same tendency could work in the T-1000's favour. Heres hoping, can't wait to see it.

I'm more concerned about the body the T-1000 comes on, I think it should be a slim TT but I have a feeling they'll stick him on a Narrow.

Yeah, this is the sorta stuff I would not say in the pub! :lol

Only here are we allowed to show our true levels of nerdyness!! :)

Sing that one sir! Half the stuff I say here would ruin my non-existant street cred :D

seems like the only thing that could top this figure is the *hopefully* inevitable battle damaged version

Do you really think a BD would be better? I dont think it could top this in terms of the iconic nature of the fig. On the other hand the t-1000 I'd probably only get if it was a BD version, I just think if you didnt know what it was it looks a little generic policeman-like. Or failing that at least it would need some blade arms/hands or whatever. Just my thoughts...

I don't think a BD would necessary be better, but I think it would look better for reasons you cite regardint T-1000. Visually, this figure is just Arnold in a leather biker outfit, but a BD version with the face ripped away, broken arm, exposed midsection and knee would be more eye-catching than this figure.

Yup, Maulfan got that right.
I don´t post often, but I second that cause of Maulfan´s reason and that it´s quite a comparison how perfectly human he seemed and how ripped apart and mechanical, but yet human at the final shots of the film.
And when they can pull it off, with the same sculpt und refined Endo sculpt, the comparison will be bad ass and almost neccessary.
I´ll definatlx take both and/or the Dx, if it´s comin´.

I just keep imagining this awesomeness applied to T-800, it's a dream figure, even more so than MMS117 just because a fully articulated 12" BD version hasn't been done and it's such a cool look.

Yup, would be a total buy for me too.
I´m even as crazy as saying that, with Hot Toys late achievements on the technical figure sector, talking about the articulated fingers of the IM´s and T:S Endos, that the BD might even be the DX and that his endo and normal eye may feature PERS.
But maybe I´m just a lunatic and my experience on this 1:6 HT deal is not big enough...^^

I'd take light up Endo eye over PERS for T-800 BD, and not sure if they could really do both, would be impressive if they did. I just hope they stay fairly true to the makeup and don't over indulge with muscle and things like the Sideshow 1:1 did.

:drool all your T-800 versions are belong to us :drool

Fixed :D

Yeah I know what you guys mean about the BD being more striking, and I agree fully. But for me its just more iconic as is tbh...

Although damaged head with pers would change everything!! If only!! :)

I didn´t like the sideshow one either.
FX were fine + the chromed parts and all, but the likeness was way off.
His eyes looked so squashed...it was like that this was the T3 version of the T2 event, you know? In my book...
HT always does it right, the times I saw it ´til now and I think the BD will be great, but your right there.
Light up is a must have, maybe even a little bonus?
detachable skin on the head from the re-inserted scene with the reooting cpu?!
;)

This actually brings to mind something I was thinking of today while watching the movie. Would you prefer total screen accuracy i.e the face not being totally symmetrical and the eye being slightly abscessed, or a little creative license?

I'm for taking license and making it more like it would have looked if they did it with CGI, but on the 1:1 bust, Sideshow used way too much muscle showing, it looks like this mass of raw meat on his face, too far for me, it's the reason I passed on the 1:1.

I'm fine with something like Sideshow's mini bust, LSB and what NECA's done.

The likeness was way off? Exaggerated maybe but its easily one of the best made Terminator 2 collectibles to date.
