I doubt cost had anything to do with it, Wolverine's and Leonidas's were done and are around the same price or less then the T-800.

I also noticed they left out some vein paint work around the neck area that we could see on the prototype T-800.

I don't think you can compare the painted nipples with Leonidas or Wolverine by looking at the retail price, that price is derived from hundreds of factors, like licensing, sculpting, materials used, paints, production time, production numbers etc., so I think leaving the nipples blank may indeed have been a conscious choice, like the veins you mentioned, who actual are visible when the figure is displayed like intended.

I am talking way too much about male nipples here, though. :lol ehm... ****ies! :panic:

Is anyones lever on the winchester sort of loose? Ive noticed mine seems flimsy.

Wasn't really bothered by the lack of painted nips... but I can agree its odd that they would paint the body as well as they did but leave them out.

I'm fine with the lack of veins, on Wolverine it works because Hugh made effort to have his veins popping out all the time. While Arnie was very fit for T2, his veins weren't bulging out everywhere. I think the figure looks great. If anything, I'd have defined the muscles of the neck a bit more.

Exactly, i am glad they left it that out.

And yea, the neck is a bit lacking in detail when in contrast to the highly detailed head sculpt/paint work.

No real complaints though, can't keep my eyes off this figure.

Yeah mine is a little loose too.

Not that this is news to anyone but HOLY $#!T! Is this thing awesome or what? I got the DX02 on Saturday and its really great. The eyes and stuff really cool. But this motha is beyond my comprehension. I will say that my Arnie hadn't work the neck muscles enough because he looked a like he had chicken neck. So I took him apart and they left the foam doughnut out (I bought a loose body for a custom so I have experience with this kind of body already) so I had to build a new one to put in there. I over sized it a bit so he looks a little thicker up top. Next was the "paper clip" trick. I used piano wire because I had it on hand and its a little tougher.

The details and complexity of this thing are just staggering. Im going to shoot a couple of pictures later. If you haven't gotten this one yet your going to be glad when you do. Those that have it already know what Im saying.

Here is a quick shot.

I think the T-800 body would make a good base for a custom Jason figure

Hehe and thats all i've been thinking about since it arrived. If you can find a way to make the peg fit the tiny Sideshow (sculpt) hole please do share. I wanna do this very bad (Jason 3) I also wanna upgrade Dutch too.
