Hot Toys - MMS 117 Terminator 2 Model T-800 spec + hi-res pics

Okay, hear me out.

Does anyone's Hot Toys Terminator figures have a slightly sweet marijuana smell to them? I was checking my collection out the other day and noticed that they have this slight smell to them, and I'm not a smoker.

At first I thought it was just one of them, but nope I checked the others.

- 1st T2 T-800 smells like it
- 2nd T2 T-800 smells like it

- 1st T1 Tech Noir T-800 smells like it
- 2nd T1 Tech Noir T-800 smells like it
- 3rd T1 Tech Noir T-800 smells like it

The latter has been in the box and not on display or out in the open. None of my other figures have this slight smell, so it's gotta be this type of figure.

I'm not positive, but I'm assuming it's the specific muscle True Type body.

Now, go sniff your Terminators so I know I'm not crazy.

My display unit smells of plastic and rubber. I can't stand the smell of marijuana. The smell seems to warm your nose. Very pungent smell. Makes me think of dried out ham getting warmed up.

Sniff the shirt, mainly his torso area. It's not pungent, but it's really slight.

Besides marijuana, I guess another example would be when you brush your teeth and then drink lemonade or something. That slight, tangy, acidic taste. I know that's a taste, but you know how you can "taste" smells?

Anyway, I've never smoked marijuana myself but I know what it smells like. These Terminator figures smell like it, even one from the confines of a fresh box that has that "new toy smell" to it.

It's got to be that True Type body.

Yep, mine do too. I am the original owner of it so it's never been around that. Strange. Must be the type of rubber and paint they use. That or all those asians are getting high.

Yep mine do too! I often smell them while I stand and look at them at night. I thought it was just me! I find the all 'leather' T2 Arnie has it most. Like you I'm not a smoker. Odd huh?

Good, I'm not crazy. I was going mad at first, sniffing my T-1000s, sniffing my Batman figures and getting nothing.

Thx, glad you like´em, but didn´t quite get the hang of my camera, only Digi, but sometimes the pics are damn sharp, and sometimes grainy and blurry. But I guess they´re ok, huh?!

The bag full of guns is great! Didn't know they did that, does it come with the gun?

Yeah, they carried the hole weapon staff to cyberdyne in that bag, that´s why I did that, but the bag itself only comes with a Desert Eagle and a few liser sites and different drives, which can be carried in little straps inside the bag.

Great pics EndoSickness! Funnily enough I only set mine up with the minigun for the first time recently. For a long time I just had him carrying the weapons bag ala the approach to the Cyberdyne building.

That´s quite a "bag", buddy.

I used the Coomodel, which came with the Travelers Set.

I cannot find any reasonable priced 1:6 motorcycles for my Arnie, or even a reasonable looking Harley. Has anybody tried putting him on a 1:10 instead?

nice collection there ! I'm interested in the metal endo skull too but the eyes look wonky..are you planning to use the same eyes after you dreme it ? does the jaw open ?

Thanks, the only bad thing was finding around 40 guns to fill it lol.
No the jaw does not move, planning to use small ball bearings for the eyes and just paint the lens red and paint the teeth white! or you can glue half of a hotoys Arnie head on it and have a kick ass battle damage head :>
