Hot Toys: MMS 139 Resident Evil: Afterlife: 1/6th scale Alice Collectible Figure

I afraid I bear bad news. I spoke to a guy who went to the toyfair in Singapore recently and he was told by the HT people there that the Alice on display is the mass production version.

Alice HS has actually been redone a few times and apparently this is the approved one by the licensor. He also showed me pics in his camera that's distortion free and I am afraid it's really as bad as we feared.

I guess this time it is out of HT hands because for whatever reason, the licensor felt that this is the best HS with Milla's likeness.

I mean, maybe the guy I spoke with is bull____ting me but I think it's better that we be prepare for the worse.

Not sure if anyone realized this but the picture on the left was taken at the recent Singapore Toyfair where the "changed" HS appeared.

I am really confused about this now. The picture on the left looks really good while the pics I saw looks very disappointed. I really hope it turned out like the pic on the left.

Wouldn't really bother with a "friend of a friend" story. Ever played Telephone?

Those two pics aren't even consistent between themselves despite being taken by the same person. HS in the top pic looks longer like the prototype while the bottom pick looks distorted and smooshed like all the current chickenlittle pics.

I dont know nam, those bottom pics look nothin like prototype V1. Theres is even a slight variation in skintone, Might be the camers of course, but to me, they look like different sculpts.

I personally know the guy who went and spoke with the people there. This is hardly a friend of a friend since I am receiving first hand info from someone who was actually there. He even showed me pics from his camera and while not as bad as the pics posted here, still not very promising.

I was optimistic in the beginning but after seeing those pics, even I am very skeptical now. I will try to get the pics from him so you guys can judge yourself.

I still ca'nt understand why this change for the worse ..

BTW I just remember Sarah Connor.. the prototype looked really nice to me... but the final sculpt ended up being very different, and had a disproportionate headshape... .

Ok, that last pic looks pretty good to me. I know the shadows are playing an important role in making the face look thinner, but it doesn't look as bad as the other pics. Thanks for clearing that up!
And yes, I'd love to see more pics of his.

i ordered this figure because i'm pretty happy with the first proto pics. if i don't get at least that, i will burn hot toys down to the ground with my imagination!

Milla used to have a narrower face but in Afterlife, it's noticeably wider. I mean it's still a thin face by all standards just wider than what we are used to seeing.

Maybe angles are playing a trick on us. You can notice how Milla's face changes in these pictures. Milla has a oval shape face.

She has the same narrowed and oval face shape... as always, and this does'nt explain or excuse why they have decided to change the headsculpt .. to worse

Cap is a far superior figure, imo. Plus likeness isn't an issue since he's wearing that helmet/mask.
