I too am starting to wonder if I should let this one go. I mean when I first heard about Hot Toys putting out a Alice from one of the Resident Evil movies I was like OMFG finally a Alice figure but now with the latest pics of the head sculpt I am starting to wonder if I should pass on this one. I am a big fan of Milla's but if it is not going to look accurate enough like her then whats then point in owning a Hot Toys product like this. I don't know though I might wait for some reviews once she is released. I kind of wished they would have done her from either the first Resident Evil movie with her wearing the red dress or from Resident Evil 3 where she is sporting the two machetes and long coat but who knows if this is a success for Hot Toys maybe they will do more of up especially with another Resident Evil movie coming out next year.

hi im a noob here and to hot toys figures, but i am highly interested in getting this Alice figure - but without a crappy headsculpt...

i mean i look at the Arnie sculpts and the christian bale and Robert Downey Jr. etc. and they are photographic in quality but then you look at this millia jovovich effort and it just looks absolute crap.

there was deffinately something slightly off in the first sculpt but certain angles were good. i cant understand people who said here face was too narrow? wtf ? no wonder hot toys brought out supersized Alice. i think it was something to do with the eyes being too small and something about the mouth and maybe nose. however the new effort is a bit crap especially compared to other sculpts like i mentioned, even the sucker punch girls at least kind of look realistic, this infant doll looking alice doesnt cut it.

so i decided to write to hot toys to tell them, i really didnt expect an answer but they replied to me yesterday, its not an apology and 'oh yes we will fix it' but at least they acknowledged me and the eamail didnt go straight into the trash folder! so i thought i would sign up here let you all know and if you want, you can bombard them with similar emails asking for either the prototype head or a newer sculpt of some kind.

i am writing to ask about theQ4 release Resident Evil: Afterlife: 1/6th scale Alice Collectible Figure. recent pictures have been shown of the head sculpt and many people are worried that the likeness of Milla Jovovich has disappeared from the prototype. This has even caused people to cancel orders for this figure because they expected a better likeness in the face not a worse likeness from the prototype pictures, many many people feel there is no likeness now because the head is too wide and does not look like Milla Jovovich. the prototype looked bout 90% correct this new sculpt looks about 25% correct

please see attached photo as an example

please can you change the head back to the prototype or promise the fans a new head sculpt??

Please reply to me with some information or at least post some information on your facebook page. what is happening with this figure, especially the HEAD SCULPT???

if it stays how it looks in the recent photo many fans are going to be disheartened by the Hot Toys company and will lose faith in you.

Not bad, but you do get the feeling its a case of:

It sounds like a standard reply to me and one a few people will have had.

They probably get inundated with emails and it'd be quicker for them to do the above and I wouldn't expect anything more.

well i didnt excpect anything at all...

but surely its better to at least send an email and let them know that more than just a 'few' people are disgruntled about the Alice head sculpt.

if they see it as its just a few people who are bothered why would they do anything? but if theres scores of the same message then they might get the message

i know its wishful thinking but its got to be better than just sitting back and moaning about it?

Also, are we going to be getting the backing/scenery card that we keep seeing with the toy? It nearly goes everywhere with it so im actually thinking it may be included now.

Yep, this new head looks good to me as well, the prototype has always been off.

Just WAIT- the way the hair frames the face on the proto changes it's looks. Contours APPEAR changed but are they? PLUS flash photography IMO ruins every HT face- in person they are much nicer than MOST pics...so I have confidence on this one!

The colors of her skin in the con pics are different because of lighting conditions- another distraction as we lose the shading that is very subtle...I think we'll be happy when she is released but there are ALWAYS those who will be unhappy!
