well i didnt excpect anything at all...

but surely its better to at least send an email and let them know that more than just a 'few' people are disgruntled about the Alice head sculpt.

if they see it as its just a few people who are bothered why would they do anything? but if theres scores of the same message then they might get the message

i know its wishful thinking but its got to be better than just sitting back and moaning about it?

Maybe, but, this new head could be the reply to previous ones. HT might think we can't make our minds up and they just want her done and out.

It may be too late and they don't want hold up their release schedule any more than they already have.

These latest pics look a bit better, or maybe the sculpt is growing on me.
Or maybe it's just a matter of not seeing it side by side with the earlier sculpt...
Whatever, let's just hope for the best.

well on the sculpt thanks to the pics below all i can say is WTF???

i know lightng and angles vary appearance, the very fact we are looking at a 3dimensional object on 2d pictures will automatically render them wrong in some way - but come on for F's sake, theres a clear difference in likeness.

i just wonder what are we gonna get? and how long until we know?????? when will there be any in hand pics??????????

will the real hot toys Alice please stand up??

Not bad, but you do get the feeling its a case of:

"Your suggestion and comment on *Insert Name/Product/Part Here* will be forwarded to our *Insert Team Here* team as a *Insert term here*."

It sounds like a standard reply to me and one a few people will have had.

They probably get inundated with emails and it'd be quicker for them to do the above and I wouldn't expect anything more.

Thrust me .. It's the HT standard reply certainly ....

Just WAIT- the way the hair frames the face on the proto changes it's looks. Contours APPEAR changed but are they? PLUS flash photography IMO ruins every HT face- in person they are much nicer than MOST pics...so I have confidence on this one!

The colors of her skin in the con pics are different because of lighting conditions- another distraction as we lose the shading that is very subtle...I think we'll be happy when she is released but there are ALWAYS those who will be unhappy!

The figure comes with both 2 hairstyle pieces.

Anyways, I'm not convinced wth the new headsculpt now at all, and all the pics taken of this sculpt are very confused, (thought inhese pictures she looks a lot better) and we'll have to wait for the HK release to find out :/

No, but it's still a ____ty pic with atrocious lighting. Unless you live in your mom's basement with luminescent stars on the ceiling lighting the room, she's not going to look half that bad.

I dont know nam, it just bothers me that we collectorss have to pay mass $ for their figs and pay even more becasue they get the licensing fee and then they produce this. We should be getting a mini verision, not an 70% likness. We know for a fact that HT sculptors have the abilites to put out dead on likness'(look at their Godfather, the new Bale batman, etc..)

Really really glad I didn't PO this figure.

I recognize the proto was not "perfect", but at least it looked like a realistic Milla instead of what they are showing right now, which to tell the truth, looks like an old Sideshow sculpt...less detailed and toyish looking.

I wouldn't even start to worry about anything until we see in-hand pics. You're familiar with the wash, rinse, repeat of the other HT threads. I honestly think this isn't any different from the standard dribble HT releases go through. Matter of fact, I'd be even less surprised if a lot of the negativity is justification for giving her the axe with everything that's coming down the pipe in Q4.

Not on my end. I ordered through VP, so it won't bill until she's about to ship, so I can cancel if my suspicions are incorrect. The pic on the right is distorted and was used from shots which weren't even consistent amongst themselves (the headsculpt in the full body shot from the same photographer was longer than the close-up). But given this is a-typical HT panty-bunching paranoia, I likely won't have to cancel the order.

Don't get me wrong- I really want this figure to look awesome and to sell well (moreover when I am looking forward to the RE1 version), but you don't have to be a paranoic to see they are actually two different sculpts!!!

I don't like what I see so far either, but until in-hand pics hit, I'm chalking it up to subpar photography skills.

We've all been around the forum long enough to know how this plays out.
