Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: Agent Phil Coulson

Well Avatar as well as Titanic both had re-releases in theaters which bumped up their box office grosses....so maybe if The Avengers had a re-release they could have a chance of moving up the list.

Avatar had a very prolonged release (not re-released yet).... only Titanic had a recent re-release, Avengers can only possibly overtake Titanic with a re-release...

Yeah i remember Avatar being at my cinema for around 3 months, maybe longer. It only sold so well because it was the 1st full 3D film imo, i thought the story was boring and didnt feel for any of the characters. Actually the only guy i liked in that film was the mental git who wanted to kill all the Avatar creatures :dunno

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: Agent Phil Coulson

If they put the Coulson figure in this diorama it's completely screen inaccurate.:gah: He's dead by this point.:rolleyes2 :lol

It's already inaccurate - Fury was nowhere near the fight in the city, and there's no scene with Loki fighting afoot on the city streets. But so what? Slavish devotion to scenes as filmed is overrated.

(And anyway, there are a whole lot of people who think Fury was lying about Coulson's death.)

Notice the :rolleyes2 after my post.

And Coulson is dead.

With his hair that color, I thinks it's a 1/6 Eminem.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: Agent Phil Coulson

Needs a bag of flour in his arsenal... and maybe a package of mini-donuts.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: Agent Phil Coulson

Comes with a mobile phone :lol :yess:

Really looking forward to this figure and I have NO idea why :rotfl

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: Agent Phil Coulson

I'm surprisingly interested in this figure!

Kind of surprised that they posted a somewhat more refined prototype online which doesn't match what's on display.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: Agent Phil Coulson

I'm really liking the accessories more than anything about this figure so far.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: Agent Phil Coulson

It's the unpainted prototype.

Looks like the Chitauri is, too. Not sure why they're releasing pics of the unfinished work. I'd be happier if they'd just left it at the teaser shots until they had something close to the finished version, though I guess they couldn't bring themselves to pass up having SOMETHING physical for Coulson and the Chitauri figs at Ani-Com. I'm hoping they got Coulson's headsculpt right, at least!
