Which model is that?

The only ones I've seen have doors that hinder the view of the displayed items inside:

My display is not fully finished yet needs shelves at top levels

Love how the white background mixes extremely well with the Joker set up there!
Awesome display!

Yeah it did but its not in the besta anymore moved it into the galant wall shelf was a better fit and did not have any wasted space.

Downside to that is you can't see all the cool guns, money and cards on the table very well unless your tall :p

My plan is to rearrange my Ironmen on the first picture and have as many on a shelf as I can and have the IM3 Tony at the bottom posed somehow, not decided yet.

Originally, it's TONELLI DESIGN. Italian brand. But I`ve seen the same cases made by some 2-3 ppl companies in my town. Maybe you can find someone to make case like this in your town.

Of course there are other option other than Ikea, but always keep in mind the weight and shipping as this can be as much or more then the cost of the display case itself.

Try finding a local place near you that you can just pick the case up on your own.

I choose Ikea since they are 20 minutes away from me.

Beautiful display pics man:hi5::hi5:...Even if you are going to change it up, you obviously have great taste and a great eye for displays.:clap

:hi5: Thanks

I am most proud about the lighting didn't have to drill at all and found some white leds, that was the hardest part, UK seems devoid of pure white LED's and hated the Yellow Ikea ones. Had to go to a few stores to get enough of what I needed. A few faulty ones and others missing plugs but I eventually got there in the end.... was a ball ache tho.

I would not mind but that colour light is considered modern lighting yet alot of places I looked only had warm yellow.....

Oh and on using Besta's for 1/6 figures I think it looks beyond crap, from setups I've seen they either look too lost in a Besta or the opposite and too crammed (not a fan of having raised platforms to show off a 'back row' of figures either)

I prefer detolfs, but Besta's when displayed right can be awesome for 1/6 figures. While they are more suited for 1/4 or PF's they have a certain classy to look to them, i have my maul 1/5, wolf 1/5 and 1/4 endo in my besta's at mo

This is a great way to display not overcrowded and they in no way look lost.

Although i think i'll hit up Sorashop for a custom case to display this guy when i have him and the funds for the case.

Surely a Besta wouldn't fit the whole base of this in anyway if a Detolf doesn't?

Tommy, if the Besta is too deep, you could always get the Billy bookcase which is only 28cm deep (also available in 39cm deep) and Olsbo doors - available in either full length glass or just the top half glazed.

I use them for my books and Steelbook blu rays, but am considering putting my figures in them as I think the black background may look better than the all glass setup of the Detolfs.

The only negative of the Billy is fitting internal lighting is a little bit more of a pain.

Pretty sure you need a custom display to fit the entire base properly along with the table and dummy. Someone who owns it said it was around 35"cm in diameter.

The more big setups I get the more need I have for a Besta too. Yesterday i just pulled out a shelf in the Detolf to add the EB Bats but once the HT QS is here I'll need to find a better solution. Wish I had room for a Besta right now. Just might have to replace one of my Detolfs.

BTW, just got off the phone with Sideshow and at least for my order they haven't received their full shipment for early pay on the flex. Guess I'm waiting another week.

I was in the same situation once I got into quarter scale. The besta makes much better use of space.

That actually looks really nice!! Is it difficult to set up lighting in that? I'm not a really good technician. Also, can Bestas fit 1/6 Tumblers or Batpods or are those far too big?

I have led plastic strips similar to ikea dioders. Its not hard to wire up just takes time. I ran the top shelf lights on top and taped the wires onto the back of the door and left enough slack so when the doors open it won't pull the wires off. I attached the led strip with some sticky double sided velco so I could easily put the lights on a slight angle pointing either up or down (I have a strip on the top and bottom of the door frame)

For the middle shelf I just ran the wires in the bottom shelf it's quite simple really I was just glad I did not need to drill. You could drill if you wanted to make it easier but I personally didn't want to damage the unit in case by some chance I ever sell them. Once I sorted the wires on top of the besta you can't even see them.

I had a look at the clear glass doors for the besta but I thought it would look odd with the white shelves and I wouldn't be able to hide the wires as well, plus white really helps my Hot Toys stand out.

Great pics.
Thanks for posting.
Can you do me a favour and post the dimensions of the base? The diameter WITH the stars and without please(If you can't get the full diameter, just measure from dead centre of the base, to the end of one stair and i can work it out myself. I'm going to build the staircase down to the wine cellar.
Thanks in advance!

I already put the stage away but I do remember it was about 19.5" with stairs assembled and about 13.5" without stairs. The display area required for this thing is massive and requires a bigger case if anyone plans to use it to it's full potential. I've decided to not use the base and to just use the regular hall of armor base to go with everything else. It seems like such a waste not using the stage but I think it's a cleaner look in the confined detolf space and gives it more of a "workshop" feel.

ps. The cheap batteries they used for the mini arc reactor in tony's body is already dead after 4 hours of continuous use. I am not happy :(
I also think it's hilarious that they used the same table from Joker DX 11 as there's a hole for the magic pencil trick.

Thanks for the dimensions.
I am going to have to start building!
Does the MKVII lid on the table light up?
