When it comes to absolute likeness, Hot Toys has really knocked this one out of the park. Absolutely fantastic. I will be ordering both. I do have a question. How is it that some stores can offer the product for less than Sideshow? Isn't Sideshow the parent company of Hot Toys? I wouldn't think they would allow others to undercut their price points since these are limited edition figures. How does that work?

Sideshow are an official distributor of Hot Toys in the US, not a parent company.

Thanks. So should I consider these other companies that are selling it for less to also be a official distributor? Just trying to wrap my hands around the industry. I use Sideshow because if something goes wrong, they replace the parts. I haven't heard of that guarantee with anyone else.

Loads of stores have friendly exchange/return policies, you just have to read their their FAQ & policies page to find out exactly where you stand. I won't buy from any store that won't cover return shipping on a return for instance. I haven't heard of SSC actually replacing parts - but exchange for full sets or part and full refunds yes.

Unfortunately I am going to have to buy this now....didn't plan on it but how can you display the iconic dynamic duo WITHOUT this batmobile?

Robin ordered!

Who needs the Batman?

Well I do, got both! :panic:

Was really suprised to see this announcement, not a HT collector by any means, been kicking the tires on the 89' Batmobile, and have a PO on Neca's 66' Batman 1/4, but the waist is killing that one for me. Now that this is up, that one probably doesnt get ordered.

Love the accessories, but correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't it Bat-Shark Repellant? Been awhile since I watched the movie.

Thank you HT! Can't wait for the wallet raping next year :yess:

When I purchased my Keaton Batman from Sideshow, one of his eye mechanisms broke and I called their customer service line. All they asked for was a picture of the defect (which I emailed) and they sent me a brand new head. I didn't have to return the defective one either. That's why I thought they were more or less one and the same with Hot Toys.

It's just "Shark Repellent" on the can. Too bad we don't get "Whale Repellent" as well, though. That's the diorama I want to put together--Batman vs. a 1/6 scale blue whale.

That's pretty cool of them. But yeh, they're different companies.

I think I'll be getting both. I actually prefer how Robin looks (minus those elbows and the thick legs).

Batman seems like the better deal, but his body proportions seem a little off. They both look kinda pudgy and swollen. I don't see what the problem is considering they pulled off the Reeve Superman. The knee thing sort of sucks as well.

These also seem like the type of Hot Toys figures that will be heavily discounted after awhile, so that plus the "low" MSRPs make these a no brainer.

Seems like they could have added a thin rubber sheath or something over the legs to keep the knees from being so noticeable. That's really my only criticism.

Totally agree Daron. This is the show that got me into the Batman franchise, I remember watching repeats on a Saturday afternoon.

Now finally I will have all three generations of the caped crusader in my collection!

Where did you pre-order from Daron?

Well, actually my wife has ordered them for me..:yess: she opened an SSC account specially just for that. I don't mind that these will not be out until Spring next year as it gives us time to put some funds up for it.

The '66 Batmobile will go on my SSC account.
