1/6 Hot Toys-MMS 218/219-Batman(1966)-Batman and Robin 1/6th Scale Figures

I'm currently watching my buddy's bootlegs that he picked up at a Con, and all I can think of is: "I can't wait until the day I've got these on Blu-Ray with remastered picture and sound, no flickering, etc." Just being able to watch them is amazing, but I'll buy these Day 1, if they ever see the light of day, officially.

I hope they release them on DVD as well as Blu-Ray - don't have a BR player yet.

That said - by the time they pull their finger out, BR will be old tech & we'll be watching hologram projections.

How is it that Mattel can get the likeness rights for smaller action figures in the TV range...including Julie newmar's Catwoman, but HT cannot secure it for the 1:6 scale range? Odd...

I think it'd be nice if this was all sorted out already and we didn't know about it, and they were just waiting until the 75th anniversary next year to make an event of it. If not, well, I'm hoping that they can do it so the latter can occur.

Has it been officially stated that they don't have her rights? I don't see why she'd be very hard to obtain likeness rights to considering Mattel got her with their Batman line. I think Hot Toys is just doing figures from Batman: The Movie so far so maybe they'll just go with Lee Meriwether but who really knows at this point what figures they'll even do (if they even do any besides Batman, Robin, and the Batmobile).

Sell off a couple Rainman figures and *snap* you'll be behind the wheel!

Believe it or not, whilst there are dozens of 'bootleg' 1:1 scale makers...there is one actual, fully licenced 1966 BATMOBILE maker....

So I assume it comes via them. Check out their price for the XL version!!

No, it was a much more affordable 4.6mil, and they did mention something about flex pay so it should be doable.
