I'm new to the Hot Toys thing, but when I saw these, I had to pre order them. Since they are making this foray into 60's TV, Is anyone up for a Bob Crane Colonel Hogan, Colonel Klink and Sergeant Shultz. I think those would be must haves for me.

Sideshow already did those.

I'd say let's get the Lone Ranger and Tonto first!

As much as I hate to say it, I don't think people should be expecting a trend, here. Pretty much the only reason HT even picked this license up is because 1.) they know Batman sells, and 2.) it's really been blowing up, in terms of merchandise, since this is the first time that merchandise is being created in 40 years, and pretty much every Tom, ****, and Harry in everything from toys to clothing to greeting cards are jumping on the bandwagon with this license.

Agreed.

Too bad about the TV series being released though..

I still think we might see it this year. 75th anniversary of the character is as good a time as ever, and I can't help but think of all the merchandise as a precursor to something bigger.

I thought the TV Series was being released. What happened?

For all us old farts, there is the strong nostalgia value of these. And, with older eyes, I can see that the camp and comical side of these characters, which annoyed the hell out of me as a child and turned me to the Marvel side, is actually pretty cool kitsch. Kids don't really have an appreciation of kitsch.

Are we truly ready to re-accept Adam West Batman back into our lives?

He never left :dunno

This. 100% this yesterday, today, tomorrow and the day after!

Adam West as BATMAN, along with his co-stars and amazing guest-villain cast, was a vital lynchpin in The Bat's entertainment history.

To me, he fits in perfectly with the older B/W serials (which I have on my phone to watch at my leisure) the various animated version - I'm sure a lot of which never made to the UK at all - to the newer, sleeker more expensive versions we see now at the cinema.

I recently saw/heard Adam West in a Johnny Bravo episode which was very funny...

I gave up the Batman PF for these two along with the Batmobile.

These are going to be great together.:yess:

Used reward points and was able to bet both figures for $100 total, just waiting for the Batmobile now.

As a kid I watched some of the TV show plus the movie. Really loved how Dorky the show and movie was. Not a old timer but really is Nostalgia I grew up in watching the show and film. Love the Campy and Dorkness to these figures. Glad I have both on order. Will fit nicely in my collection. I know I must get the Batmobile too!!! Just will be an amazing setup.

I am not going to cancel this set until I see the final version in hand...I got such a good deal on them, but I really am not excited at all about them.

For me I used some reward points on these two and may of been a not so want order but I know once in hand ill love both.

Once I saw the Batmobile pics from SDCC, I knew I wanted it along with the figures. So I was happy to use what points I had available. I loved the show when I was kid, already in re-runs, this is everything you ever wanted as a kid only bigger and better. :)

Re: Hot Toys-MMS 218-Batman(1966)-Batman 1/6th Scale Collectible Figure

My husband here is DGTWoodward and he loves these figures. Batman is his favourite character and I love Superman. We have quite big collection between us and I want to buy this one for him. He is always buying me things. he got the Evil Superman 2 months ago and I have not bought him anything!

I like them to and have opened a side show account to get them for him. I will buy the robin figure too.

After hearing the news about DGTWoodward's passing today, This post makes me very sad:monkey2

Again very sorry for your loss.
