Hot Toys-MMS 220-The Wolverine-Wolverine 1/6th Scale Collectible Figure

Well, I am a bit late to the party on this one. I have just POed this despite swearing myself of any more 1:6 figures as the whole of next year is going to be spent just paying for HT figures! Still, as HT figures go, this one is a beaut!

The lovely Miss Lee So Young has done it again with yet another of her amazing sculpts. Not quite a 'full' Jackman, but my word she is the absolute closest by a very long mile, out of the three Ht sculpts we have of The Wolverine so far.

Can we adopt this as the scale by which we measure the likeness of a head sculpt from now on? In Jackmans? As an example...

HT's DX08 1989 BATMAN (Michael keaton) 10 Jackmans
SSC's Padawan Obi Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor) 7 Jackmans

...and so on?

This will be our first figure from the X line but in our collective opinion, I think it's the best, at least until James McAvoy's Prof X gets properly shown so that we can have a decent look at him.

I'm with you on the detail of this one.
It was striking. I didn't think twice about wanting it ! I did like the first release, and the second is OK, but in this case, third time really is the charm.
Likewise, this will be my first venture into X territory, but seems like a great place to start.

This is also my first X-Men figure. After I saw that HS, I knew I had to order him! 3rd time was definitely a charm for this character! I just hope Hugh finds it in him to portray the character a few more times before he decides to retire from it.

Brother, one small thing... You said no more 1/6 figures and you say whole of next year will go paying for hot toys. Am a bit confused, is that you have too many preods or is this a back lash for payments to be made for the ones already bought thru cc.

Yeah, I don't think we can expect 2 head sculpts at the current price anymore from HT. I was more talking about the body. I really hope they would be less lazy and redo the old body. The 2nd release wolvie's body is crap...no details at all. I hope we get that rubber body again

I dunno. HT attempts something different with the sculpt i.e. Zod and people complain. They give us blank expression and folks not satisfied. If they give us two head sculpts price will be too much. Damned if you do and damed if you don't

This is easily the best Wolverine sculpt yet. If I was a bigger fan of the character (and I knew more X-Men were coming) I would be tempted by this.

Chiming in on a couple things being discussed. Vest/wife beater is also know as an A-shirt.

Body size change won't work with the costume. Its already getting bulky. HT would need to offer him as a suit less figure for the body to work. Can't have both in this scale.
