I actually loved that it stuck.

In the other Marvel movies this year things happened but were then back to the status quo shortly after.

Don't get me wrong, it's a ballsy move, and i like it.
Even though i had seen the HT reveal of this figure long before seeing the movie, i was still shocked that the metal claws remained gone.
It might get retconned back in DOFP.

I too just saw this movie recently and I mean it was good, but not as good as I expected. obviously better then origins that's for sure. actually now its making me consider this figure now.
that alternate ending where he opens up the suitcase and it has his iconic yellow costume, when I saw that I had goose bumps, lol. I was like they really need to make a film where he actually wears that costume instead of wife beaters and suits!

I want to grow some adamantium. Anybody got some I can swallow as you are what you eat.

The brand of deodorant/shower gel i use(Lynx), does one that is called "Cool Metal".
The shower gel looks like the silvery liquid seen in X2 and XMO: Wolverine.
I have often considered making an Adamantium chamber with a container of this in the background.

The adamantium didn't grow back. How can metal be part of his DNA?
At the end of the movie he has NO adamantium on his claws. He's back to bone claws.

Yeah may be, i slept when he goes to fight that samurai thingy. I usually watch movies only in my business travel flights, so i may surely be wrong. It was a very bland movie. Infact i did enjoy the previous one origins more cause of several interesting characters. Also, never read the comic books (was never into comic books) so no clue on nuances.

So i may be wrong about the whole science thingy..

I didn't find the movie boring really. It wasn't an action packed movie but it was more of a story driven character study of Logan. I thought it was a nice change in pace to be honest and thought the film was mostly really good. My main complaints were that the villains were kind of weak.

The after credit scene was 6 months or a year later (I don't remember exactly) and he still had bone claws.

Two years later :wink1:

Indeed, Quite a refreshing change from the popcorn CGI fluff of other CBMs. Though the ending forced that into it :slap

Can anyone tell me what happens when magnito has the adamentum removed from wolverine. What's the story like after that? Does he live vulnerable for the rest of his comic book life? Etc? ... Just curious as i never read a single comic but some one posted that its magnito that removes the adamentum...

I'm no Marvel expert by any means but Xmen I read a lot when I was yonger and for the series of Magneto removing his adamantium, Wolverine isn't vulnerable really. He still has his healing powers and bone claws just can't cut through anything like he used to if memory serves me right

If I remember correctly the adamantium was/is poisening his body keeping a portion of his healing powers at work non-stop. Without the metal his healing powers greatly increase. Later they discover the adamantium was also halting his mutation and in that arc Wolvie keeps mutating becoming more feral and hulk-like.

But like all things comics, everything always turns back to normal and Wolverine gets it back and reverts into the grumpy short guy we love so much.

People think that Magneto might restor his Metal claws in the future part of DOFP. but since he'll be asleep and sent back in time i doubt it.

in the past part of DOFP he does have Bone claws and no adamantium as it's set before he gets it in the movies canon.

Will be interesing if he fights Magneto as in the origianl trilogy he was never a threat as Magneto could freeze him in place but in the 70s he can't do that.

When Wolverine had the adamtium extracted from him which lead Xavier to mind blast Magneto (which eventually to Onslaught), Wolverine began to regress into a feral state and continue to do so until he became pretty much a beast with a blue bandana and prone to licking Cyclops. He stayed that way for a while.

This above respresents the only time I will probably out nerd someone about comics. :)
