99% of the time, Hot Toys improves on the prototype. Not this time though. The head sculpt is pretty poor. The proto, while not a perfect likeness, was far superior.

I think he looks fantastic! My only complaint is the body also. Therefore, I plan to keep him fully clothed anyway.

Sculpt and painting look the same as the prototype to me. :dunno

The only differences I see are the lighting conditions.
Glad I pre-ordered two. :yess:

The final production paint app doesn't seems as crisp as the prototype, but as others have mentioned, it's probably the lighting used in the photos. I think this one is another case of the product looking better in-hand than in the photos. The body does seem a tad bit undersized compared to real life Hugh, but I don't plan to pose it shirtless and it looks ok with the full suit on. I don't have any Wolvie figs, so I am sticking with this one.

My only gripe is that he looks like he has a mustache...hmmm wonder if I can fix that??

Also does anyone know anything about this "1/6 Wolfman" by EX Figures?? Looks like theirs will have a more accurate body

I dunno, I think this one looks the most like Jackman out of the three they released so far.

He also does have more of beard in this one than in the other films. More of the scruffy looked Wolvie.

That looks interesting.

Just found heir Facebook page:

https://www.facebook.com/exfigures

So many 'new' companies popping at the moment.

Looking at their latest pic...I'm thinking they're the same ppl who called themselves "Fire Figures" like a year ago just by looking at their "Italian" and "Pirate" figures

Hm, another recasting company? Even body seems like it's from a different HT. I wonder what kind of price they will ask for their "Wolfman".

I don't think the sculpt looks like a bird.

Wouldn't say "recasting"...more like bootleg. Like Kumik, Brothers Production and ZCWO, etc.

Good eye, I think you're right.

Also, it's funny how the Marvel Select toy from the movie has a more jacked-up torso than this one. I'm a little disappointed HT didn't even try to make a more vascular-looking seamless body, but I'm sure it's easier said than done.

And even VTS (DAM).

On the EX figures Facebook page they wrote:

Head Sculpt has been done by our own artists. We believe in the originality of product.

Without the jacket on it almost looks bobble-headed. :( 2nd time recently HT have done this (along with the Crow). Hoping it's not the start of a new trend.

And the likeness, whilst it's better than the first 2, is still a LONG way off.

Some close up shots of the headsculpt care of Elljay:

I don't have my copy of the movie right now, I don't know if HT tweaked the bone claws to make it more accurate to the source material. I like the rounder bone claw sculpt on the proto over the final product's more blade-like thin claws, though.

This isn´t a $150 figure people.

Can´t believe some of you still try to accept "it looks ok, it looks ok". LOL. The sculpt It´s way off, and the paint looks cheap. Should be called "El Wolverino".

I don't collect HT's anymore but this looks pretty cool to me. Same old thread bashings I see though!

I think I might even just use my points on this as a treat, he looks good in that suit.
