I'll bet what's taking so long is probably the fact that the basically identical DW version is still lingering on SS and this next version will probably have less and be the same price. I'm sure they see that the Caps are clashing and those are pretty different versions.

I think anything they do with this new version will carry a certain amount of fugasse with it. They'll probably be a large amount if reuse between the sculpt, the outfit and maybe even the movie promo body which was supposed to be limited. I don't know if they'd risk doing a new sculpt while the karst one is pretty hard to beat. Maybe they'll add lightning effect pieces to help differentiate this from the DW.

Thor is on waitlist now at SSC, so I would expect it to be sold out pretty soon. Seeing as it has had a tonne of discounts on him recently they must have come to the end of their stock.

IMO if they make the arms switchable (armored/unarmored) and just change the sculpt to a closed mouth...people would be willing to buy it. The lightning effects pieces are a good idea too.

It needs something major to differentiate it. AoU Cap reused sculpts because the suit changed and the physique was a huge improvement. Thor has minor changes so he needs either a new sculpt or swappable arms. If it doesn't, most people will pass.

That's a good call on the interchangeable arms that would differentiate this enough from the DW. Especially if the bare arms are sculpted single jointed instead of rubber.

Maybe they'll also include a environment base like the MK 43 to further set it apart

Despite my disdain for joints, I wouldn't mind that

Have you seen all the people salivating in the AoU Thor thread?:lol

Think I'm going to have this figure hold the destroyed Ultron Mk I when I get my Mk 43 ... he was the one who destroyed it after all ha

So I once saw a modded head where the some of the hair was removed. I can't remember if that was on here or on facebook. Does that ring a bell for anyone? I was thinking of asking the guy to do that for me.

Anyone else find it a little....odd that the only time(s) we see Thor with "armored arms" in AoU there's no chance of combat at all?

I remember something like that here in the past couple weeks, where the person cut off some of the hair over the shoulders. I can't seem to find the post in either this or the AoU Thor thread, but it does ring a bell. It was a pretty simple mod though, if I recall.

yeah that's the one. Hopefully that guy resurfaces

Do you by any chance know how this was modded to fit? Wanna try the same thing if it isn't too hard. :wink1:
