That's the Arkham City Joker for the Arkham license, which is a video game line. Batman was teased too.

I'm talking about the third DX Joker Hot Toys supposedly has planned from Howard Chan's interviews. The fact that Nurse is off the table due to issues, I'm positive he meant Heath Ledger. Though, it could apply to Nicholson (as he'd be approaching his third DX as well). Time will tell I guess but I'm sure he was referring to TDK Joker as the last version was described as 2.0, despite there being 4 other versions of the same character.

I guess he was referring to the DX lines only. What other versions were there, I'm curious? I only know of Bank Robber, another MMS one, and the two DXs.

I'm not sure if we'll see another Nolan Batman, but I'll bet the world that we'll see a few more Iron Man figures.

Probably. Because the Nolan Batman Trilogy's already ended 2 years ago and all the possible Nolan Batman figures mix-n-match had been done as mentioned by DiFabio, while there still are a lot of armors that HT can possibly turn out -- not all of them requiring just a little repaint ala Mark 7 and Midas -- and there's at least 2 more movies where new armor/s of Iron Man are yet to be seen.

And no, I am yet to have my first Iron Man figure.

Do you know why he gets all of those countless releases?
BECAUSE HE'S BATMAN!!!!

Pretty sure it was cleared up that Chan was not necessarily talking about doing another Nolan Joker when he mentioned that character. As I recall, it went something like he'd like to do another DX Joker, not necessarily a third version of a specific iteration he'd already done.

But regardless, they produce what sells, and what they produce most of is what sells very well. They've had a few bombs, so they know what their golden-egg-laying licenses are.

Definitely. Wish they could get Batman right.... a perfect 1/6 version of their QS001, sonar, the goods, everything.

Think IF the TDKR armory will be released that would be a clever time to add an improved (final?) armor / cowl and headsculpt.

Besides the glaring omission of a Nolanverse Ra's, I'd like to see a Commissioner Gordon (with axe!) and Officer Blake packaged with the Batsignal. Talia's role was small, and her death scene is a big joke, but just because of who the character is, I think she deserves a figure (maybe bundled with something else). Lucius Fox was a very important supporting character to the series and I'd love to see him bundled with the TDKR armory (even though he wasn't in any Batcave scenes)...or better yet, with the multi-monitor sonar display from the climax of TDK (but I know that would be too big to be feasible). And of course I still want an official unmasked Cillian Murphy scarecrow and a Two-Face 2.0 (DX--now there's a figure that can use PERS to great effect).

Big dreams, sure. But as for the day when both Hot Toys and customizers will be completely done with the Nolan Batverse:

Atleast that list of wants aren't more Batman dolls.

I'd buy Ra's and Begins/Dark Knight Gordon (even though Hot Toys said they'll never do him in his traditional look).

Yea anyway Id still buy a Begins Bats with signal, lol. So hopefully they wont be taking Difabs approach to things concerning Batman.

It's Gordon's signal, it should come with Gordon.

And if Hot Toys were stupid enough to make Talia or Blake, those two would be the equivalence of POTC Angelica. Sideshow had so many that they were literally giving them away.

Sounds like the perfect DX15 to me..but looks like HT is done with the DX series by lack of announcements:thud:

Lol ok, it's for Batman though!
So what if they want to release more Batman figures with different accessories or what not. Plus it seems they always improve them. Yes I know they still have issues with stuff but it seems they always will with any figure. There are always completists and new fans/collectors that will buy too. Why should they put a limit on how many different ones they should do? Seems they sell and go up in value too.

It makes the character look like a Barbie doll in terms of offerings, especially when both versions have been done already. When you start boasting that the "newest" feature is newly sculpted faceplates, a light up gun and a "newly painted" headsculpt, it's time to move on. These ain't Hasbro or Mattel figures.

If they make more Batman figures, how about a Surf's up Adam West Batman (with alternate pink cowl from the "Contaminated Cowl" episode?) Or Battle damaged/Cathedral '89 Batman? What about the long await Returns armor Batman from Batman Returns or Arkham City Batman? Atleast we could all say that those have never been done before.

Anyway, I'm sure Affleck Batman will put an end to these Bale releases, especially if the rumors are true and he has different suits. Amen I say.

But the quality isn't even close to those comparisons. This character will always be a draw so long as they have ideas and can improve from the previous offering.
You think they will be less special to collectors because they did 4 other ones that were still different enough to warrant a new release?
I think those ideas for figures you mentioned are great if they think they will sell.
I mean how good did Jack Jokers do? You think they are stalling the Returns line because they are iffy on anything except Keaton? I kind of think so.
Yea they will do plenty from the upcoming movies I'm sure. You really don't want them to release anymore Nolan Bats huh. Lol

It's just a little obnoxious seeing collectors pining for a new Begins or TDK suited Batman when we've had them by the droves. That's why I stated I'm looking forward to the day that they stop making them, the conversation was about a possible new and improved TDK suit Batman . . . in a thread about a brand new TDK realease.

If someone wants a Begins suit Batman, they can buy the OC figure from 2008, give it the TF head (and even that isn't necessary) and they're good to go. There's also the Enterbay 1/4 Begins that has a great sculpt that everyone seems to love (I wouldn't know as I have the HT 2005, Takara, OC 2008 and TF 2011). Someone wants a TDK suit Batman? Well, they now have three - four versions in two different scales. Take your pick.

It wasn't long ago when these were the only two games in town,

And they were/are pretty great. A million releases later, and it still ain't enough?

Yea I got the mms 67 which I like a lot with only a custom cape added. I don't collect 1/4 although I tried and want to do another Begins display. I'm sorry I don't know what else to tell you. Lol
Funny you have 4 OC bats so it's cool but for someone who may have just started or someone like me who wants it improved and repackaged with something different it's obnoxious. Hahaha

I'm not praying to the toy gods for more though, that's the difference.

There's always someone that "misses out". We've all been there. If someone is just getting into the hobby now (7 years in), well, they have plenty to choose from on the secondary market. The price argument doesn't even matter at this point considering Hot Toys is pushing $300 for pretty standard figures. There are no "deals" to be found any more. With a little patience, someone new to the hobby will find what they're looking for through other avenues. It all works out in the end and we all come out even (unless someone puts their home up for these things). Worst thing that happens is you lose out on an expensive, rubber doll. :lol
