I made my point.

That's what I'm saying. You've written a lot, provided some facts, some misinformation and a lot of opinion, but you have yet to actually make a clear and concise point. I'm not trying to be difficult, but it's just getting tiring, you know? You haven't contributed anything except a whining session and it's not even clear who it is you're whining about because your posts jumbled up the message, IMO.

Are you bothered by Hot Toys for producing product that there's clearly a demand for?
Bothered by forum members for discussing those products?
Bothered that some fans want changes in upcoming releases or additional releases?

All of these? So there's a lot of Batman discussion and a handful of Batman high-end products from Hot Toys and a few more from other producers. Ok. So what? At the end of the day, buy what you want and you're free to vent your likes and dislikes, but you're not really contributing at all to the discussion in this thread.

Did Batman recently steal your wife or kill your dog? ;) Didn't you have a Batman-related avatar at some point?

I have no desire to own more than a single good Batman figure. I don't think any figure has ever been or will ever be perfect. I don't have a problem with Hot Toys releasing the same figure multiple times or multiple figures based on the same character (see first point). I feel the Iron Man output is far more egregious than anything they've ever done with Batman. I don't participate in threads I'm not interested in. All of this really means nothing to anyone else, so it's not something I jump into threads and start posting about.

Well, I did say it was annoying to me and yeah, I know you're not trying to be difficult. It is my opinion.

No, Batman didn't steal my dog or kill my wife, but these discussions are monotonous to me. I love Batman as much as the next guy, I own a lot of Bale Batman, but when is enough, enough? There's so many other characters and licenses out there, why are some people's wishlists always more Batman? I'm not a fan of some of the licenses Hot Toys have abandoned, but I gotta say, it'd be more refreshing than another Batman, Joker or Iron Man.

So no, my problem isn't Hot Toys. They make what sells and that's understandable. Thing that annoys me is "da fans". They're obsessives and they annoy me. I admire a pursuit for perfection (Maglor had those great tutorials on how to make your Bale Batman figures better), but this, "I want another, and another" gets my panties in a bunch. There are other characters more "worthy" of a release than this particular Batman, even characters I may not be personally interested in.I stated that this interpretation of the character has had a good run in terms of collectibles and that I'm looking forward to the day it's put to pasture. I'm free to whine about that. There's more to this hobby than Bale Batman figures and custom parts/capes for the guy.

So why do you come into this thread if youve had your fill and feel there is no more to discuss? what more could anyone possibly say about these figures to advance discussion other than we want more accuracy and more of it...? Im confused, if you want other characters and such discuss it in those threads... not saying you cant here but why come back to something youre entirely sick of hearing/discussing

It doesn't change anything about the point that it's your opinion and it annoys us (the part of the collectors here that still have and will probably always have a great passion for this figure line and that would still appreciate further releases, both improvements of previous releases and especially new releases) that you keep posting your opinion almost every single time somebody writes something you don't like to read.
What's the deal? Think we all know your opinion now. :peace

Bam, the root. The point. Now I gots it!

There are other characters more "worthy" of a release than this particular Batman, even characters I may not be personally interested in.

There are a couple of wish-list related threads I participate in and subscribe to. One about sure-fire hits (some of the suggestions are questionable) and another one about sure-fire non-sellers, but something each poster would love to own themselves (this one is my favorite).

WRT to this particular bundle Batman release, you shouldn't think of it as another variation. It's primarily a multipack for people who don't have DX12 already. Hot Toys aren't trying to perfect anything here by revisiting the character, just supplying the necessary parts to make the multi-pack and armory "complete."

I sit down and have my morning coffee. I log into the Sideshow message boards. I hit several sections. When I get to the DC section, I see numerous Bale Batman threads clustered at the top in succession. Usually, the armory, this thread, is at the top. I check thread, there's usually nothing new. I notice a discussion about "moar" Bale Batman figures despite the fact that this set hasn't even shipped yet, I comment on it. I commentate on what I've seen. I visit the boards for info, to participate, have lolz, review, criticize, have fun, and cry. When it came to this particular discussion, I felt like crying/complaining (if we even want to call it that) about these over eager beavers that can't wait to see more of the same character. That was my choosing. It's a message board, instead of joining in on the "I hope Hot Toys makes a thousandth Begins or TDK Batman", I chose to state that I'm sick of seeing it in this place.

Am I being reasonable?

HT should just do a TDK signature series with Imaresqd1 providing sculpt and Intothevoid overseeing Quality Assurance and production; you'll never need another figure again.:lol :lecture

Same "problem", same answer:

HT will always **** something up. They might improve one area but at the same time they'll take a step back in some other area. Guaranteed. I've seen it with the T-800s and it certainly happens with Batman. Difabio is probably right that asking for more more more is pointless if the goal is perfection. It won't happen except through the master customisers.

Maybe right, for me it's more about the pointless complaints when people ask for releases of this line that didn't happen yet like Ra's and so on.

Yes, it is my opinion. I don't need to be told that, to know that.

What one calls a passion, could be viewed as a disease by another. That's my opinion of course. Maybe it's just because I have an interest in multiple characters/films/genres or what have you in terms of collectibles. I don't think I'm in the wrong to state that I'm annoyed for the reasons I've listed. Any one that doesn't agree and finds my criticisms harsh or untrue are free to ignore me. I've only responded to those that have questioned my feelings.

This is turning hilarious cause your annoyed and have all your Bale figures that people shouldn't want anything new.

On a lark I did check out the topics list for the DC section. WOW, where did all the Batman threads come from? Someone necropost to all of them recently or what? Back when I remember last checking the list, it was DX12, the Joker DX2, Selina Kyle and Camo Tumbler - I honestly can't remember all the threads I see there now.

It doesn't take a marketing genius to see there's money to be made in Batman. ;)

Let's not throw the term "new" around so loosely.

Ra's Al Ghul as A-Dev mentioned above? Yes, I'm all for that. That's never been done before, DO WANT. A "new" 1/6 scale Bale Batman. No, do not want. Other people might, but that's not going to stop me from expressing my annoyance and pointing out that he's already been released multiple times.

But you must understand that when you post about your feelings in a context to something somebody else posted, the one will of course feel addressed inaway.
Have a lot of interest in other movies and characters / figures as well and as I posted before:

(...)
I'm not usually a completist but I'm almost one when it's about this trilogy. As posted before a few times I understand other opinions from the particular perspective, I would appreciate some more variety in the figure releases as well, especially less Iron Man (though I also like Iron Man) :lol but in the end I think they'll produce what they consider demanded.
As long as there are Nolan Batman fans and I don't see that ending, I'm sure they'll keep producing things for this line. I'm fine if it only happens from time to time, so that there's enough room for other things, but imo there were some things pointed out that would even be much more iconic for the TDK trilogy than what we've seen released yet.

This armory set is one of them and Trenchcoat Jim Gordon, Bat-Signal, DX Batman Begins Suit, Lucius Fox, John Blake, Ra's and other things would be cool as well. (In my opinion :wink1:)

In the end I just don't like to ignore somebody but I find it annoying to read disrespectful posts against fans of this line.

I never disrespected any one in particular. I only stated that I think some people with these tendencies may have aspergers, be fanatics or have OCD. I don't know anyone personally here and can only speculate whether or not they have a mental deficiency (hence why I said I think "some", "may").

If someone reads my posts and thinks that I'm referring to them, personally, well, that's out of my hands. I know I'm not the only one that thinks that "those boys like those Batman dolls a little too much". I figure if people complain about Iron Man (who atleast has the suits to back up the releases), why not Batman? I've been cautious and PC about it, so I don't think I'm being disrespectful. We all have our interests. If someone kept hyping up the fact that they wanted a thousand Hot Toys variations of Robocop, '89 Batman, or Arnold's Terminator (all things I collect), I'd be annoyed then too. Fact of the matter is, that's not really happening. It's always Bale Batman (plus his Joker) and Iron Man, ad nauseam. They're the most popular collectible dolls, sure, but that's not going to stop me from *****ing. I "get it now". There are people that have had wants/wish lists for characters they want to see done for years. Even though I may not care about them (looking at you Brometheus), that won't stop me from being annoyed at the folks clamoring for more characters that already have multiple releases while others have none.

EDIT: What I partially undrestand are your complaints about people asking for an improved / next version of the DX12 figure but on the other hand I understand that people would have liked HT to improve at least some basic things like the PERS eyes and the cowl's shape with the armory release, not necessarily as later additional release.

Talking about the Begins suit I don't see the urgent need of a new suit as well, but I see the room for improvements, not detail-wise in the first place but quality / material wise and a set with a Bat-Signal and Trenchcoat Gordon from Batman Begins would be a very great set if it included a new Batman Begins suit imo.
Making it optional like the set versions of this armory set would be cool for everybody imo. BTW, there ar only 4 HT figure releases from Batman Begins yet, so yeah I'd also love to see a Lucius Fox from that movie. :dunno
