I don't see what's wrong with it. It'd be different if there weren't any electronic components or anything, but, if someone's shelled out enough cash on IM figures that they would need a bunch of these, I'd probably think they'd want them to be as cheap as possible.

Granted, it's not affecting me, as I don't collect Iron Man, so, I can't really say, for sure.

I think I want to back out of my previous order. Should I bite the $63 non refundable Deposit or do you think there will be an immediate after market for this?

There will be an immediate aftermarket, especially for parting out a set. I'm sure plenty of other people are planning to do the same, but I expect there will be more buyers than sellers for parts/figures.

But I mean it's still available for preorder. If I were to sell it separately it would be a pain. What would be the pricing individually?

Oh, snap, I thought this thing had sold out in the 3-pack. Still, the price per figure/item is very good, so I can see room for profit taking in parting out whole figures and the armory - it much less hassle than doing accessories/small parts. No idea what the market will bear as that will be influenced by how many are available when the time comes. I don't see $200 per figure being a problem at all though.

If you don't want to take the chance and you've ordered from Sideshow, ask them to transfer your NRD to something else - this is available one time only, so you can't if you've previously done it on another order.

I'm going to sell the armory and likely the Batman figure, unless it turns out great. As far as I'm concerned, since it has much better mouth plates, all it needs is non-googly eyes to be a solid 1/6 Batman. I know there are nits about the cowl shape too but I'm not bothered.

I've been thinking of how I would split up the armory and Batman if it came to it and I guess the best thing to do is sell the armory complete with all of the accessories, but that leaves me with nothing for the Batman.

So, I'm a little undecided on some of the particulars but the only thing I'm certain on is getting rid of the armory.

SDCC really messed a lot of people's plans as far as this hobby is concerned. Personally, this was nothing but an impulse buy to me at first I must admit. Jumped on the bandwagon and well, thankfully SSC transferred my NRD as a first time courtesy.

Great for the ones sticking to it, as it does seem like a great deal for the money. Considering HT now charges for styrofoam.

what is this styrofoam business I keep hearing about?

The new Hot Toys Iron Man Hall of Armor cases are made out of styrofoam now.

I'd be shocked if the eyes are any different than the DX12's.

Yeah, I'm not expecting it but there's always a chance of a surprise with HT. I already have the 1/4 scale figure, so if this one's not up to par it's no big loss. It's just going to start looking weirder and weirder as I continue to add to my 1/6 Dark Knight collection while having Batman only represented in 1/4 scale. :lol

There's some actually justifying the price on that thread. This whole thing is becoming very pathetic.
Remember when the tumbler was priced at $400something? Man, feels like such a great deal nowadays. Will never sell it.

There is NO justification for that thing for $75- the led plastic fixure and stand might be $74.98 of the price and the styrofoam 2 cents?:rotfl
