The armory is solidly built, no foam. Assuming it's the same as the Toy Legends armory. Which it will be other than electronic doors.

In the drawers holding the accessories? :dunno

I think that's just regular foam.

Just wait until you see HT's new Iron Man. It's made of fabric and stuffed with straw.

Which could be a problem in itself, if it's anything like the foam that Kenner used in their Dagobah swamp or their Wookiee bandolier which both melted and turned to goo! :panic:

This looks like the foam used in DX boxes. Any spare parts I put back in those boxes I put into bags first just in case.

At least with the Armoury on display you can see whether the foam is degrading or not and rescue the pieces before they get slimed.

I hope those belts aren't just decorations and they're actually functional. Judging by the specs, they will be.

The weapons and gadgets are the best part. We'll finally have a grapple gun that will have actual grapples that will plug into it not unlike the QS 1/4.

With HT selling styrofoam HoA, what would you do if they start using styrofoams on the weapons and acc, like they did on those 1:1 batarangs that were included in the DX02? :lol granted they are prolly harder to make at 1/6 scale, but if they are cheaper I think HT would go that route instead. They are starting to cut corners while jacking up the retail prices on these as of recent.

Then eventually other companies would begin to take over providing 'high end' sixth scale. And Hot Toys wouldn't be so hot.

The price and appearance of BRJ 2.0 is another example of HT cutting corners and jacking up prices.

Every now and then HT excel themselves and offer a good deal, as with the DX07 Luke, or this Armoury which is giving me three figures, the armoury and a mass of accessories for the price that three HT figures cost in the UK about five years ago.

And not to forget the potted Groot!

Don't think I haven't thought about that! :lol

God knows I have enough Sticky Bomb guns, batarangs and grapple guns in my collection, but I fully expect all that gear to be high-end and fully functional. No decorative "prop" junk.

Wait that armory is actually styrofoam? I thought that was just what people were speculating because of how the marble texture looks.

Welp just checked for myself...

Holy ****ing ****....

That already happened. And HT use their licensing rights to shut them down. They now try to obtain exclusive rights when it comes to 1/6 and 1/4 scale.

You got enough spare belts as well? :lol

Nah, armory is most likely plastic, but there is regular foam lining the back doors that swing open and inside the shelves, where the weapons and accessories are stored.

What? What parts are styrofoam? Where is this mentioned? Can't find it on the SS product page.
