1/6 Hot Toys-MMS 236-TDK Armory (with Batman, Alfred, and Bruce Wayne Figures)

Recently, I was debating whether to continue my Hot Toys collecting. With the announcement of a possible Joker 3.0 and the new TDKR armoury set, which had totally devalued my Joker 2.0 and DX12, I'm on the verge of saying ****** it, and get out before I feel let down anymore.

Dont look at it like that. The joker they make next will never have the accessories you have with the dx11. They have many other versions to do, they minted dx11 so no chance they are doing the same suit etc... They will do br, cop, nurse etc as a set may be... Pls understand that they had to throw on this bat suit as a batman figure cause it was the easiest thing for them to do and still get "new buyers" ...
Yes after they are done with nurse, cop, br etc they may revisit the joker is my view. But thats a long way. You have rah etc that will come before that. Am sure! ...

So it seems like Hot Toys can keep pumping the Nolan bats for a while. Wish they'd start working on the Batman Returns line though.

Two days is a long time? Considering the huge NRD this will have I don't think it's going to sell out anytime soon.

There's an agreement about that for ethical reasons.

Who knows, SSC might do it earlier, but that's when HKSecret Base announced it. VIP get it today, the rest get it on the 29th which is probably Monday for them.

I'll probably bite on the full set if the price is around $650. I really wish there was an option without the batsuit for those who have a DX-12. At the very least, I'll pick up the Armory and Alfred set. Alfred is a must have.

To be honest, they will sell more armory with the batman than otherwise... So they had to provide these two or three options else you are pretty much ruling out on "new buyers" . Also an integral part of this armory is a bat suit so all the had to do was throw in a sculpt and hands, rest was anyways being manufactured for the armory.

Ok may be, all i am saying is that they are likely to make a br, cop version etc. and even if they do a joker 3.0 it wont have the accessories of dx11 and trust me the accessories made that figure what it is. So if and when they do a new joker it will be a completely new set! So joker 2.0 will still be relevant. For batman there is only so much options and they had to throw the bat suit as a part of the armory anyways so...

It's been a while back, that's true. Remeber that there was an official statement about that, talking about the ethical problems of a Heath Ledger - Nurse Joker figure as he passed.

A fellow boardie explained it to me way better, but I don't remeber who that was. Hope he'll read this and post his knowledge again.

I thought I read somewhere that he didn't want to just release a new outfit i.e. Nurse. Maybe I was mistaken.

In my mind if you're going to put out a new headsculpt and more accessories, you make it the final fight one PLUS rooted hair. That way, you can add the bank robber outfit and the hair will be accurate and you could hang him upside down (that could be your dio)

I know I'd jump on that ASAP even if it reeks of milking.

A lot of the great custom Jokers all have rooted hair. HT could jump on that and make it cheap enough to justify.

But I digress...

Why not? It had the glock, machine gun, cards, money and knife that were in all the previous Joker sets.

You really think Hot Toys will really pass up another opportunity to put out a "new" regular purple Joker (clown shape according to their Engrish)? This "new" DX 12 Batmab release only a year later says other wise.

I expect a new DX 3.0 Regular clown Joker with some "new" gimmick that will make collectors piss themselves and throw down $300+ on a doll they already half own. Count on it.

Probably... they still have that Bat Signal release.... perfect pairing to say the least?

This is my thinking and I hope it happens. With the release of Banner (as plain-Jane as he is) and Wayne & Alfred paired with this environment, it doesn't seem far-fetched as it once did. It even gives a glimpse of hope for Ra's. I like all this duo and trio pack business!

Wow HT I'm genuinely surprised right now. There's a few details that could be changed for the better. Like Wayne's suit needs to be blue. But all in all this is a great looking set. Bought.

It's kind of funny they mention that Michael Caine is an academy award winner and not Christian Bale.

Agreed diFabio... U are right and there are a 1000 options but wont have dx11 accessories like dio, table, chair, lamp, was very scene specific... so ... They have the right to do it but dx11 will still be relevant to an extent is all i am saying. For all we know we will see joker 13.0 in this life time

Wayne has multiple suits in TDK. Kato did the blue 3 piece pin stripe one.
