Picked up Whippy using that sweet BBTS promo deal. Now I just need a Wasp announcement to use it on.
I'm not surprised collectors are still trying to pick this guy up. Since he's still available at a decent price, id suggest getting him. Regardless of what you have, I think he's amazing. Obviously if you have a Mark 6, WM MKI or both, get this guy now!

Is Whiplash II terribly short now that the diecast Mk VI is so much taller...?
I looked into this a bit and it doesn't seem to be the case. Diecast Whiplash is said to be 13" tall and does not look significantly taller than Mk 6 in the movie, just bulkier. To my eye he looks about right...but I have been wrong before
Given the new VI is about an inch taller than the original, Whiplash II will seem a little short.

Oh no! My diecast Mk 6 has been in his detolf prison for awhile but I am going to have to pull him out and measure head to toe when I get home. In that Budget Stark video he says Whippy stands 13" tall. Can the diecast Mk 6 be taller than that? Because if you add an inch to the plastic version in your photo the 6 would be taller than Whiplash...

Yeah, I think the new VI and WL II will be about the same height at best, worst is VI is a wee bit taller. That pic is from the BudgetStark video.
So you need to either use the WL II stand to give him a boost or bend the VI's knees. That is, if you have them together. WL II is still an awesome figure and I'm considering getting it myself. Maybe my old VI still serves a purpose -- to be battling WL II.
I wonder if the legs/shins are extendable in any way to cheat some height?
I have both. I can just take a picture
There’s a 1/4 to a 1/2 inch difference between the plastic and DC when they both are posed with their legs same width apart and knees bent the same. And whiplash is 1/4 to 1/2 inch taller then the DC.

Thanks Whiplash has at least a bit of a height advantage on the mk 6 so I won't be too bothered by the scale of the two. Whiplash also looks appropriately bulkier. I measured the mk 6 and WM diecast mk 1 and War Machine is slightly taller than the 6 by about 1/4" or less. So the height of War Machine and Whiplash are probably pretty close.
Maybe not an inch but pretty close...

Now someone scale this pic with the BudgetStark one and you'll see about how they (DC VI + WL II) measure up.
