I figured the head would look pretty good on the DX11 body. Very strange seam though. I'm sure that could have been applied better.

Yeah, like an eye sore. I think I will sell it first thing when I get the set to recoup some of the money spent on this set. Prolly can get 90$ For it :lol

DX01 was my first Hot Toys, so I have grungy Joker and cop Joker. I also have two DX11s.

I bought that crappy Asmus knock-off Bank Robber set that ended up looking nothing like their promotional photos (the promos very probably being the original HT suit).

When the BRJ 2.0 was announced I disassembled the Asmus kitbash. The body will be a donor for a Grumpy bash, but for now I think I can live without a BRJ.

There's too much else coming out that will knock this release into the corner: Kaustic Plastik's Roman and Gaul figures; QMX's Firefly; Hot Toys' Alien and Aliens; and their BD Robocop which I didn't really consider until the SDCC 2014 photos; and there's also Sideshow's Marvel line (and their C-3PO). Plus everything already on pre-order!

That's enough jokers to hold you off till 3.0. I have the Dx01 cop and sold the purple coat ver, and 2 DX11 as well. Thank God I don't collect as many line as you :lol

Man, this figure looks cheap as ****. The mask is all bright and colorful, the clothes look poorly tailored and baggy, the seam on the eye is garish, etc.

I dunno, it's too quick to judge. Will have to see more in hand pics from members like voudoun, thrustmaster or shortround. They usually know how to futz and display their figure and pose em well. Some of these photographers take good photos, but don't have a basic feel of how the human anatomy work, and how to futz the outfit well.

It won't be that colorful in person. If you look all of that guys photos even the red makeup around the lips looks too bright. It's all because of his lighting and possibly some editing afterwards. The Jokers clothes aren't exactly ironed out in the bank robbery they're a bit crinkly and baggy. These are blown up images the seam wouldn't be that noticable unless you were very close to the figure. We'll just have to see when it's released.

I HOPE there's a 3.0 eventually. But what could they possibly do that they haven't done before, besides nurse joker. But there are already tons of customs for that, and good ones at that

^ hah. True, true

I was thinking just a ledger joker in general though, not bank robber. Unless they do something like they did with the dx01...but that doesn't seem likely

From this video it doesn't look that bad actually https://youtu.be/fwQYIcNyaCM

The paint on the regular headsculpt looks nice there, it's quite good.

The clothes still look like crap though and the mask is super bright. It looks like it was brushed with Colgate extreme whitening. A couple of light "scratch" marks ain't cuttin' it, looks toyish. It also appears to be the same size as the V1 slicked back head with the mask on. I thought by sculpting it to be an actual head would fix that problem? Seems to me that Hot Toys just too the original mold from the V1 mask, but this time molded it in a hard plastic, and fused it to that head?

Either way, it's a far cry from this,

well the mask is indeed to clean, some pictures the mask got some dust or damage but the HT not?

Looks like another example of a Toyfair rush job to me, quality all over the place on paint application and that tailoring is just unacceptable for a $270 collectible.

Not sure how to feel about this figure. Always wanted a BR Joker but the figure is overpriced by $50, maybe even slighter more than that. Not much of an improvement as well.

Can you really blame HT though?

They see their old subpar products to today's standards go for 300-400 bucks, should they work harder when the market is already satisfied with that kind of quality?

When you throw in competition to the mix, thats when they start to improve and throwing more accessories. Thats what happened when EB starts doing same license stuff as them. But as of recent, it seems each of this company is getting better at getting exclusive contract right to their licensing that they have their own niche, protected market. Like EB with their NBA line and HT with their Superhero line.

I can blame them. The sole reason older figures demand higher prices isn't necessarily because they are fantastic. There are many factors one being that it's no longer in production. When HT thinks they can cash in on a half-assed, rehashed, older figure and ask what will be close to $300 they're nuts. I hope sales for this figure are dismal. In the long run that won't make a dent in HT's pocket book because people are sheep, but if sales are bad it should send a message. All I know is at that price they aren't getting my money.
For those of you that are getting this because you missed the first release I get it. It still doesn't mean HT isn't trying to gouge your wallet.

They know they can get away with it. :lol

As long as theres no competition in the market, we'd be seeing half *** releases like this in the near future.

a new pic I found on toysdaily:
