Thos who havent bought it already, best thing to do is hold off for now, at least that'll send the message to SS that this price range isnt acceptable for a bare bones figure like this one is, even though its 'the joker'.

Hold on, I just checked its on waitlist status now :panic:

:chase:lol

It's nooooot

Not sure if you are referring to me, but if you are, I still like you turtle man!

I did get the Mark 42 (my only IM so far) and yes, it was $310. I used points but that doesn't mean jack- It somehow makes me giggle when some say "but I used points so I didn't pay retail" no, you did. In a way. But that's another point.

It is a Diecast, newly molded figure that really feels amazing. Will I keep it? My gut says yes, he looks like the only IM I'll ever need. Is he overpriced? What isn't? But at least to me, he feels like something NEW.

This piece, on the other hand... Well, there's nothing more to say that I haven't already. But you kinda get my point, yes?

I'm happy u are happy. I'm happy some of you are happy with this. It doesn't make my life miserable or anything of the sort that other members are now buying this after literally crapping on this figure non stop -discount or not-. It's not my place to judge anyone. And it's not about holding to your guns or whatever. I firmly believe this piece is HT's way of saying "we can literally get away with anything at this point" and I'm in a way happy that I didn't help in that. And I'm one of the ones that "missed out" on the first one.

At least I can say that buying this, even at the ridiculous I price point (or not) is at least a better deal that those buying ED-209 fully knowing about what is going on with it. That I'll never understand.

This piece will hit the market place in full force, in no time IMO.

Right on.

Just arrived today. No pics until the weekend from me (got another 12 hour shift tomorrow)... but my initial impression of this is good. It's my first Joker figure and it looks great to me....

Yea I get that, I have no problems with you voicing your opinions on the figure and the pricing, but your last comment on the pictures some of us put up felt more like a dig at us members and not really sideshow/hot toys.

Believe me, theres a lot I can say about what Hot Toys is doing with Iron Man right now, personally I feel Die Cast aesthetically doesn’t add much to the figure other than weight, and in my opinion it is just HT way of jacking up prices on Iron Man figures now, and an excuse to rerelease older armors for marked up prices, which I have zero problem with, if people don’t mind paying those prices, and are happy with the product I feel no reason to complain.

BRJ in my opinion is the best Joker figure to date from HT, I was more blown away with this than I was with the DX11, and it seems like a lot of the other guys here feel the same, and even some of the guys who were against this release earlier seem to be warming up to it now. Everything is top notch, from the box, to the tailoring and paint job, personally while I feel like this is overpriced, I feel the exact same way with most of HT figures, especially their Iron Man line. They’ve been using the same Tony Stark sculpt for almost every one of their figures for the past year, and it basically comes with no accessories, the battle damage is half assed considering it only covers the arms, head, and chest, and it seems there has been quite a bit of QC issues.

Still, I would never go in that thread and continuously state this, especially when everyone is excited and posting pictures after dropping a **** load of money on it. Those guys seem happy with their figure, and I’m happy for them.

By the way, I have no problems at all with you my man, we’re cool, and I appreciate the mature response, I just didn’t agree with your last comment. :duff

Cool dude, always a pleasure debating stuff with ya. And I'm sorry if i sounded as if I was dissing your pics, or other members pics for that matter, that was not my intention. The term "crappy iphone/phone pics" is widely used around here, and tbh, I prefer those than the edited ones. They actually reflect what you are getting. But that's why I worded it like that.

And yeah, the BD - less legs on that figure DOES bother me. Wtf, right? Stooooopid.

They should have added it, but all in all, it looks like it turned out great, the articulation is amazing I heard. I might cave in and buy the Mark 3 next year, I have zero experience with Iron Man figures, so I really don’t know what to expect. Did your figure come in QC free?

Luckily, yeah. No problems at all.

First IM I'm keeping, all the others i got before were strictly for flipping and making $$$.

MK III Looks cool, just not really different enough like this one is IMO.

So, you actually like BRJ more than the DX11? Why is that? When I had it it seemed like the complete package any HL Joker fan would ever want....

Mainly both the head sculpts, as a total package, it can’t compete with the DX11, but I believe it has more shelf presence. Like I told Hydeous I could just be enjoying this figure more than everybody since I missed out on the original.

I have more pictures but the site isn't allowing me to show more.

There is no doubt my issue with this figure is the price. If this was at $230 or lower, I most likely would have caved. <$200 would have been a no brainer. As it would have been for almost everyone. If I was able to get this for an amazing deal, maybe. But right now, I'm passed this figure and moving on. Too many other figures in the pipeline to worry about a rehash of a figure I already own.

Other than some inaccuracies here and there and a messy hairline, the BRJ 1.0 is a fine figure.

Just got my reply for the "exchange" from sideshow... They are sending me a replacement body, and want me to destroy the old one with a blunt object and take pictures of it destroyed to send to them as proof I destroyed it... that seems VERY odd to me... is that standard procedure? I'm thinking about not doing that and just letting them bill me if they want.

The just wanna make sure you don't keep and sell the semi defected body. It's the standard procedure.

Sideshow wants proof you took care of it.

Well, I have no intention to sell it but I gotta say, although I understand their reasoning for doing this, I find it very unorthodox and a waste. So i'm likely not going to destroy anything. Spare parts are spare parts. I paid (a bit more than I would have liked) for this and if it's defective, they are obligated to resolve that whether I keep the parts or not... I've never heard of a company willing to waste a product like that just to make sure someone doesn't profit off of it, I think it's pretty $h!tty honestly.

They just wanna make sure the defect/problems are handled.

How bout in the scenario where you were to sell off the figure as is, kept the replacement body. And then someone bought it from you and reclaim to them or HT again.

I can understand them thinking I might sell it off and they have no way to prove I wouldn't, but as for someone else claiming from sideshow, how would they be able to do that if they didn't have an order number to put in the request?

Just break the damn thing, smash it to pieces.

It's not a waste, they're sending you a new replacement body. Destroying the broken one doesn't put you at a loss and saves you from having to ship it back to them. Break it up and take pics, maybe salvage knee and elbow joints.

They can't. But what they can do is put it up on YouTube, FB here and complain that HT products are crap. And they don't want that.

It's almost similar scenario where you ordered a soup in a restaurant and there's a fly on it. You complained to the waiter, and they agreed to replace it for you. But you still wanna keep the soup with the fly on it, since you thought it'd be a waste if they throw the soup away.
