Also, the joints on my brj 2.0 body are getting loose (used it heavily for stop motion). What would make a good substitute body?
Loose joints are easy to fix, without the need for buying a brand new body. Which joints are they?
Ball-and-socket joints (ankles, shoulders, etc.) can be made tighter by applying one or more layers of nail polish to the ball, so it fits in the socket tighter.
Knee and elbow joints can be made tighter by applying a dab of superglue in between the moving parts and then sliding the joint back and forth until it sets. This way, the glue is distributed enough so that its presence creates friction, but doesn't actually glue separate components together.
There were loads of discounted HT figures on SSC's site during Spooktacular and Black Friday. I'm thinking HT's business model may have changed from what it was in the past, where you still saw some unpopular HT figures that got clearanced (like Ganado Chainsaw figure and Two Face). Now, they seem to pump out relatively unpopular figures in much higher quantities than they warrant. Sometimes it's a roll of the dice as to what will sell, but I think most reasonable collectors anticipated this would happen with the Bank Robber figure.Somehow I knew that this figure would sell poorly, but I never thought its value would plummet to soon.
Somehow this should tell HT something.
For the doubters out there
Interesting to compare this with the Python Iron Man. Both were exclusives from the same toy fairs, presumably produced in the same numbers. Python sold out in days. Bank Robber Joker still hangs around on their website, waiting to be heavily discounted in order to entice people to buy.
I agree with this. Now with Blackhole Stormie EX selling out fast, I think HT's found a new franchise to get event exclusives from, along with Iron Man, and maybe replacing the TDK franchise. The only TDK figure that I can see selling well EX or not is Ra's, and IMO HT should go over whatever's causing that delay fast while some people are still waiting for it in spite of the many 3rd party Ra's that have come out.
