I've had a chance to pick this guy up twice in the last week right around retail and haven't. I wouldnt want to display him without Chewy and i'm just afraid i'll never find a good price on him.

Both on ebay. Both around $25 over retail. One new and one displayed but minty. One Canadian seller and the other was a US seller. Locally i had a guy selling him about $60 over retail, he had two left, one sold and he bumped the other to around $400.

What's the most you're willing to spend? I see that Mandarake has the set of them up for about $650 plus shipping. It's still a high price, but it's hard to find Chewie for less than $400.

Right now i can really only afford one and that is even pushing it with two pre-orders coming in March/April. Add in the US exchange (i'm in Canada) and that really puts it out of my price range. $650USD is like $915CDN + shipping. Then i also need to pay the taxes (15%). Depressing.

If you can only afford the one than I'd probably look for a cheaper Chewie. It might take awhile, but he's the one that's really going to hurt your bank. I was able to find a Chewie in January for $330. Keep your eyes peeled, you never know what will pop up.

HT Han Solo looks like a great figure.....too bad I missed out on him at retail price. I'm not paying the aftermarket price and hopefully a Bespin version comes out.

I can relate. I missed out on the Han and Chewie set for retail at the LCS.

I'm needing a Han myself but with Ant-Man and Leia in the near term and the Hulkbuster on the horizon I'm not sure I could drop $400 on him.

There will be another versions of Han and Chewie down the line, they are not one off releases like Eric Draven or Swenny Todd.

Highly doubtful there'll be any ANH 2.0 figures. Another Han will be ESB and/or RotJ.

Obi wan is the only character that probably wont be remade for the OT, every other main character will be remade with their movie specific suits.

I would 't be surprised to see another ANH Han but there won't be any ANH remakes of the other characters. If there isn't another ANH Han and you can't afford him or don't want to pay the aftermarket prices I would kitbash some kind of outfit using any parted out HT Han stuff you can find - mainly you need the vest, shirt and trousers, or use some medicom or sideshow outfit parts - and then wait for a Bespin Han for the boots, belt, gun etc and of course the head and body; or use whatever head they put out with Stormtrooper Han.
