I kid. I think it looks really good. I haven't come across anything better. While I have seen some impressive repaints of the SSC version, Hot toys for me takes the win. Great likeness IMO.

I go back and forth. Depends on what screen-shot of old Ben I'm looking at. Hood-up the HT is serious competition for the old SSC sculpt; not so much hood-down, although as others have mentioned, the old SSC sculpt is slightly caricature-like by contemporary standards.

He came and went and exploded in the secondary market and that was that, then a bunch of people freaked because they didn't grab him sooner.

Ah. That's kinda why I bought one. I thought I should see what the full '77 line-up would look like, even if I decide against keeping them all ... and SW aftermarket prices are a little goofy right now.

I do wonder what these pieces *actually* sell for, sometimes. You can slap a $900 price tag on something but it doesn't mean it's gonna get bought. :dunno

I just took a glance at sold listings and it appears Bane has cooled a bit probably because Nolan Bats is over, but at his peak I believe he was around $450-. Now he's around $300 give or take.

Still Bane isn't Obi-Wan Kenobi. Like you said you can never predict these things and you should never collect for those reasons (monetary) however you did the right thing by picking him up and not having to worry about it.

Sometimes, I feel the best option for a figure that you absolutely KNOW that you really want or know that you may end up wanting to eventually get is to just PO it when it first goes up for PO, that way you know you're getting it for no more than the initial intended retail price. It may end up being sold for less on the secondary market, but it may also skyrocket.

Buy, then ask questions later basically. If you don't like it, you can always sell it.
