I went to Secret Base to pick up Rocket and Groot. They already have this on display.

Can guarantee you the Michael Keaton sculpt looks as terrible in person as it does in the photos. In fact ,the neck looked really short as well, which made it worse.

Sometimes the proto looks better in person... like Han Solo. This one is not the case.

Sorry didn't take any photos. Too many people were crowding that area.

There was even a girlfriend to this guy who was starting at this for a while, and she was like..
Who's that guy next to Batman?

They weren't even that young ! I'd understand if they were like young teenagers.

Since I'm new to collecting but if the Keaton sculpt is spot on I'm in. If not dx09 here I come

The 89 09 is one of the best 1/6 figures made by HT ( except for those damn cape wires). It looks like Keaton is in that suit. I'm passing on this, may pick up the cape, but IMO, it does not look like Keaton in that suit and the BW doesn't look like Keaton either and who asked for a BW in a Tux anyway? I was hoping, expecting a Returns Batman with glider and torn cowl with excellent Keaton sculpt all in one package and that didn't happen.

This keaton is just worst hot toys ever, they not only get headsculpt wrong but body is too scrawny as well. Tailoring is just mediocre. Cmon Hot toys you can do better than this, batman is phonemal though

Regarding Catwoman--Tweeterhead announced on their website that they're debuting a 1/6 scale Michelle Pfeiffer Catwoman statue at this year's SDCC. Since HT either isn't ever coming out with a Catwoman, or is going to keep us hanging for who knows how many more years waiting, I'm just getting the Tweeterhead statue and calling it a day. With Trevor Grove sculpting it will look photorealistically awesome (just check out his work on Tweeterhead's Batman 66 line.) And a statue will do justice to Michelle Pfeiffer's curves in the catsuit better than any HT female body ever could--we all know that from looking at our Black Widow figures.

Ok, the guy in the Tux is not a good likeness but the Batman is Keaton for sure. And the legs looks better, along with the Bat Symbol and the upper armor looks like body armor not fake muscles.

Agreed, the DX09 just looked and felt weird... I'm hoping this one feels more like armor rather than like a rubber tire lol...

Damn I wish this had the glider. Damn. That would totally override the poor head sculpt, for me. I'd give up the whole Bruce Wayne figure for that glider.

Predictably enough. I think people overestimate how much a change of lighting can help. Sometimes a bad sculpt is just too bad.

Right? How do you do a 'Returns figure and not include the coolest accessory of all?

This scene was the reason I went through two freaking VCR's back in the day. Rewinding 100X every time I saw this. Purest badassery right here. This and the cowl removal were the most iconic scenes and we have to be content with just displaying Batman in museum pose.

Honestly the glider wasn't even all that cool if you ask me. Plus like others have mentioned with the limited articulation this figure will have you probably couldn't get the arms out enough to fit in it. Even if you could you'd probably risk tearing the rubber if you left it that way too long.

We waited for years just for the Batman figure - we are now getting more than we wanted and everyone's moaning.

Let's be happy about the Batman figure.

Don't like the Wayne sculpt? Don't buy it.

This will be my first HT Batman figure. To be honest I was thinking the single figure would have been $250 - $280. These last three years I was bitching to everyone that the longer we wait the more we have to pay. I was wrong and apologize. I am more than 100% happy to pay $219 for what they are offering.

I'll buy one anyway since I missed the first Keaton Batman. Hopefully we'll see the Penguin prototype at this year's SDCC.
