I really find it funny that it's a usual thing to hear/read statements describing the 2 Keaton suits as "so much alike", "not much difference", or something to that effect. I guess black makes it difficult to see differences than red and gold, as this is something you see less in threads for the Marks IV and VI armors, and those armors have much more in common compared to 1989 and Returns suits.

Well, I'd say if you're more of a casual fan, you wouldn't really notice much of a difference between either of the Keaton suits or the basic IM armors. If you're more of a dedicated, hardcore fan, you've committed the differences to memory.

I see a huge difference in the suits, but I understand people who don't. But come on, if Bale got a new figure for Dark Knight Rises, then Keaton surely deserved a Returns suit. It's the best Batman costume on the screen so far. Love the stylized art deco touches.

True -- Bale's multi-plated TDK armor actually got 4 releases from HT in 1/6 scale alone (Standard MMS, DX02, DX12, Armory version). I'm so happy that the Returns suit with the best cowl ever (IMO) is finally getting released.

Yeah, I don't think they're bad sculpts at all, especially for the time.

Always thought that the 6" Kenners got very good sculpts. They got the Keaton pout right.

I remember buying the deluxe thunderbolt batman figure just because the arms and legs were sculpted in the returns design, as well as the separate chest piece. Why they didn't just go all the way with a new chest, I still wonder.

I remember buying the deluxe thunderbolt batman figure just because the arms and legs were sculpted in the returns design, as well as the separate chest piece. Why they didn't just go all the way with a new chest, I still wonder.

That drove me nuts.

All they had to do was sculpt that ab armor on onto the actual figure (instead of making it a separate chest piece for the canon), make it black and gold, and viola, perfect 1992 Returns movie Batman.

I preordered the two pack instantly. I don't want to miss out either. There's an NRD on it; which makes it tougher for me to change my mind (even though I'd love to use a coupon on it now).

The torn cowl is what sold me on the deluxe set. Zero hesitation on that. Sure Keaton doesn't look perfect in the proto pics, but IMO, the final product pretty much always looks better with Hot Toys.

Yep. I already pre-ordered and its mostly paid off with flex already (two more payments to go). I'm still wanting to get a second Batman and a spare Keaton sculpt so I can have Batman, Batman with Bruce Wayne reveal, and Bruce Wayne in his tuxedo. Not sure if I will or not but I'd like to so I can have all those on display. If I could get a DX08 I'd be satisfied with Burton Batman for the most part (I'd take a Michelle Pfeiffer Catwoman if she were made too).

People should pick up NECA's fantastic Penguin figure. Closest thing to a high end Penguin that anyone is ever going to see.

I had used the SP00KY15 (2 zeroes) for 1 purchase and the 2nd code with the O letters and that code did not work fo me. Are you the 2 codes are 1 of the same and will work only once.

Ok disregard, it worked on another figure with no NRD. I don't understand why it wouldn't work on a figure with a NRD.

Why would Hot Toys even bother with Penguin or Catwoman at this point? There's zero incentive. That 2012/2013 ship has sailed. They wouldn't/won't, we're lucky to have gotten Batman and the Returns features on that Batmobile.


People should pick up NECA's fantastic Penguin figure. Closest thing to a high end Penguin that anyone is ever going to see.

I've been so tempted with that figure, but it just doesn't match anything else I have. I don't have any figures in that scale, and he's absolutely huge. I really wish Hot Toys would revisit the Returns license out of the blue some day.
