If for whatever reason the Keaton sculpt isn't improved, I predict a fallout - smaller in scale than that of a fudged-up HT Vader - but a fallout nonetheless.

Makes you wonder how on earth HT can nail Peter Weller's likeness down to a T, I mean, that HS is, IMHO the best they've ever done, and it doesn't look like is one that is easy to accomplish. But they did. All that intricate detail, everything is a 10.

But when it comes to a guy with curly hair, they give us Michael Keaton's stunt double.

This HS is plain horrible.

100% agree.
It's shocking but not surprising. They haven't got a decent Christian bake sculpt either but they manage a Peter weller?
Maybe it's the hair they have trouble with.
Any ways Iv heard this will be out "very soon"

Bring it on!

Hopefully they surprise everyone with a great Keaton Bruce Wayne likeness, but I'm not holding my breath. If it's improved or anything like that one J.C. Hong posted great, the two-pack is mine. If not and we still get that squashed, gremlin faced thing, then the Returns Batman by itself is enough for me. I'm just happy to be getting one at all. Can never have enough of Keaton's Batman. This Batman figure, granted the production figure holds up or even surpasses the prototype, is going to look awesome next to the 1/6 Batmobile.

Can't wait to see what the box and articles looks like. If it's as good as it looks in the promos, I have a feeling when the hype release with all the reviews and blog pics of this start rolling out there is going to be a ton of excitement. We'll see.

To me the batman figure looks amazing and I'm just happy that they are releasing it and how good it looks. I don't care much for a keaton figure but I know I'm in the minority on that.

Oh lol I just saw hundreds of comments everywhere of people whining about the head sculpt and I'm sitting here staring at the batsuit thinking, who cares lol the returns batsuit is perfect lol.

Still, imagine a Keaton Bruce Wayne headsculpt with the artistry and realism of say, their recent Battle Damaged Robocop/Murphy figures where it's like the perfect representation of Peter Weller in 1/6 form. Then picture that Keaton likeness in the Returns suit with that iconic torn cowl look.

It'd be nice if they nailed this one for the unmasked look alone. Forget te Bruce in the tux though, I agree.

The Returns Batman is a great figure at $220 - $200 with a monthly code. But it looks so much like the DX09. A kickass Keaton sculpt would help wash away some of the bitterness brought about by HT's cozy relationship with Marvel.

You have to remember though that Marvel gets more figures because they're current. DC has been dragging their feet for quite a while so there's not a lot of current films for Hot Toys to base figures off of. Really there's been a reasonable amount of Batman figures released over the past couple of years when you consider there hasn't been a new film for a few years already.

We got the armory set last year as well as 66 Batman and Robin. This year we've gotten the Bat-Signal set, The Bat, and the Arkham City Batman and plus this two pack is on its way. Really there's not a lot else for them to do though. They did Man of Steel characters when the film came out and while it was a fairly lazy release we got the Evil Superman. There's some stuff that could be revisited but it's mostly older stuff which I'm guessing doesn't sell as well.

If the new DC films do well I'm sure we'll see plenty of figures from DC soon too.

Those are all fair points, but it's a common criticism you see on this board. We'll get quite a few DC reveals and figures over the next year or two, which will be welcome but doesn't necessarily bode well for me. Between Marvel and SW OT, I have enough on my plate.

I really find it funny that it's a usual thing to hear/read statements describing the 2 Keaton suits as "so much alike", "not much difference", or something to that effect. I guess black makes it difficult to see differences than red and gold, as this is something you see less in threads for the Marks IV and VI armors, and those armors have much more in common compared to 1989 and Returns suits.

I see a huge difference in the suits, but I understand people who don't. But come on, if Bale got a new figure for Dark Knight Rises, then Keaton surely deserved a Returns suit. It's the best Batman costume on the screen so far. Love the stylized art deco touches.

I remember when I was a kid and I first saw a pic of the new suit I was taken back by how different and streamlined it looked. I don't know if it was the theatrical poster, a SNES game poster, or an ad where I first saw it, but it instantly fascinatesd me because I just assumed they would reuse the original. While I prefer the '89 suit, I've ALWAYS wanted a proper articulated figure of the Returns suit. Hot Toys is finally delivering what I always wanted.
