Sadly, the poor kid will just keep stating his own beliefs as facts here.

Lol. The whole "kid" insult. A popular choice on this forum. Nothing a 30 year old hates more than being told he is still young. Straight daggers to the heart I tell you.

If you are that passionate about it I would love to make a figure bet on it :).

Some people just don't understand the concept of "Discussion".

Some people just don't understand that this is the "Hot Toys - MMS 320 - Star Wars Ep.VII - Kylo Ren" thread.

Ok we adjourn til May 2017! Somebody will be right and somebody will be eating crow. :lol

Lol for the record, I have never nor will ever say Snoke is ABSOLUTELY Plagueis. I'm completely open to the possibility that he's not.

Its moronic to state absolutes when there is no confirmation of anything yet.

The guy who wrote and directed the film flat out said he is not Plagueis. That is confirmation until proven otherwise.

The Khan excuse is moronic. He lied one time about about one character plot twist. Move on.

Yeah no absolutes here lol. Just predictions. Might as well pick a side for the fun of it. I'm open to being wrong in the end. I'm sure I'll love it regardless.

Doesn't really matter what the individual screenwriters and directors think, they're just employees. Lucasfilm (via Kennedy) says the prequels are "immovable objects" so they have to work within that space.

This. The whole notion of the new trilogy ignoring the PT was just wishful thinking by PT haters. It never even crossed the minds of the folks running the show.

Lmao there are people who thought Sidious wasn't Palpatine..?

And yeah everything in the video is a stretch, but I enjoy the theories. Even the outlandish ones (Snoke is Jar Jar :lol). They're fun and keep the discussion going. I'm just a little disappointed we got essentially nothing from TFA about Snoke. There's some bits in the novel, but those are vague. Around since the fall of the Republic, spoke to Kylo as a child, etc.
You'd be surprised.

There are people I talked to after the release of RotS that thought Mace Windu didn't actually injure and scar Palpatine's face with the reflected lightning. That he was always that way and he merely revealed his true self, lol.

As far as I can remember, Palpatine wasn't a changeling.

They do have the luxury of not having to directly reference the PT, given the new movies continue on from the OT (and the Jedi are now "a myth"). But I doubt they'd have bothered getting Ewan to do that voiceover if the PT "never happened".

SNIKT1950,

I''m new to this thread (but not new to here, though I've been dormant for a while)... And it would appear that you're the one who seems to want to sound like he knows what he's talking about.

This is a straw man argument (not you... them). Of course LFL and the filmmakers are not going to outright dismiss the PT. For one, like it or not, those movies are canon. Secondly, they're also part of the franchise and its overall product portfolio. They're also cool people, with respect for Lucas and his creation. So, publicly? They'll do the right thing and never outwardly crap on the prequels. Privately, that's another matter. And if anyone thinks that the new regime loves the PT fully and has no issues with it whatsoever they are deluding themselves. Trust me. Oh the things I could say were it not for NDAs...

Now, that's not to say they will completely, 100% ignore the PT. Like I said, it's still canon and they'll use what works for the new stories. But they're certainly not going to go out their way to reference them, either. The LFL Story Group and the new filmmaking teams are moving forward from here, not backwards.

Is it possible that Snoak could be the Inquisitor from Rebels series one?

I thought it was pretty well established by the filmmakers that Snoke was a brand new character to the universe?

You getting this figure IJ?

Yeah, but I'm admittedly annoyed that it won't have an unmasked sculpt.

They will no doubt do a V2, probably with battle-damaged with TWO unmasked sculpts (one with the scar), the Vader helmet and perhaps a snow effect on the bottom of the robes, like the Kmart Exclusive Black Series 6" figure.

But this is just too good a character to pass up a Hot Toys figure. So I'm getting it, and will either end up with 2 or will sell this one down the line and upgrade to the inevitable next version.

That's exactly what i'm doing as well provided a V2 comes out. But they got a lot on their plate with characters and RO coming out in a year etc. we'll see.
