HT completely nailed the look in any scale. I really am tempted so much with these wonderful pics but I just feel if I wait a better version will emerge :thud:

I still have a strong feeling he will look different in Episode VIII now that we know what he looks like unmasked

Inked: I realize the Hot Toys figure has cloth, my question is did we ever hear WHY Hot Toys went with that as opposed to a sculpted visor.

Great pics as always, Paramore!:clap

I wonder if the eventual Driver headsculpt will have Sith eyes option at all. Maybe Sith eyes have been opthamologically fixed by the time of TFA.
I don't remember his unmasked head having Dark Side eyes (he's not a Sith and the eye thing isn't limited to Sith either) during the film... not everyone who has used the Dark Side has had it and those who did seemed to change depending on mood (seem to remember Anakins going back and forth)

I think he means the full-size helmet shown at Celebration.

I am seriously jealous of you guys who have this. I need him now. I don't mind not having the Driver sculpt, as I'd never in a million years display that.

Sith eyes come from fully embracing the dark side, such as with Maul and the Emperor. Although, the latter suppressed his dark nature for decades before reveling in it again.

Anakin never kept his sith appearance, because he never fully embraced it. It was a means to an end for him, I think. Plus, the whole chosen one thing. That doesn't mean he isn't capable of fully tapping into the dark side, as shown on Mustafar.

Kylo Ren doesn't have them in this film because he's not fully dark side. Will he go all the way in the next one? Maybe. I think he could definitely have at least one scene with them.

Sorry, I should have been clear that I was talking about the full size costume shown at Celebration, not the figure

I really enjoyed the Kylo Ren character in TFA. In fact, this is the first time the villain was probably my favorite new character in a SW film.

I would have loved for this figure to have included a bonus unmasked sculpt, but what can you do? Either way, these pictures sure make the figure look fantastic and I can't wait for him to ship.

Bloody Brilliant and my thoughts, exactly. :goodpost:

The "experts" have managed to take dumps in most of the TFA figure threads. It's freakin' unbearable.

Well it's still not as bad as when we had 3 pages of middle aged Vader fanatics who were long time members of this forum doing nothing but bashing the character and anything prequel related. Seemingly out of no where.

Bought into the hype, literally, after watching the movie and preordered this dude. First "high end" figure (or any figure) I've purchased since my preteens, so I'm fairly new to all this. Decided it's something I might try and get into so I thought I'd pick up/pre-order a few now and then be a bit more sensible down the line. How quickly do these usually sell out? Is it usually safe to purchase them relatively shortly after they release without missing out, or is a pre-order the only safe way to assure a purchase?

I had put aside a budget to make two more purchases, spent the last few days trying to be selective and narrowing down the pieces I thought would be essential. Had it narrowed down to Rey and Bobba Fett.. Or Vadar... With the hope of picking up Finn at some point too... Then made an impulse buy on the Elder Predator.. I don't know what I've got myself into. I'm pretty set on picking up Rey but I'd hate to miss Fett if it sold out pretty much on release.

Yeah, those middle-aged Star Wars fans who have been on this Forum for a long time... What do they know?

Not sure what point you were trying to make. But to answer your question...they know how to troll like 14 year olds who just got brave and left 4chan to troll a forum thread?

No one was implying it's a bad thing to be a middle aged Star Wars fan. If you interpreted it that way you did so incorrectly. They literally came in this thread acting like a bunch of goobers for like 3 pages and then vanished.

He really is Anakin all over again, isn't he?

Yeah these dark-siders always slaughtering padawans to please cloaked dudes with bad teeth/skin who like to speak via hologram.

Luke goes into hiding following a padawan massacre just like Ben (Kenobi, not Solo - this is going to get confusing) did, after dropping off a force-sensitive Skywalker child on a desert planet to be raised separate from him.

Meanwhile, Han's busy smuggling dianogas while his son becomes a new Darth Vader and searches for Luke to murder him. Hey, when you're busy, you're busy.:lol
