Yeah, it's actually fun to have a discussion about a new SW film that isn't focussed so much on bashing (as much about the prequels were) - it's fun to have a lot of positives and negatives to debate. My buddies all say "SW is back!" and it's fun to discuss in that context. And I honestly (really ) wish I liked TFA just a bit more than I do, and discussing it with you guys does help me out on that front!
I decided to wait for 2.0 on this fig though, which I'm assuming is only 6 months away - I'm an Adam Driver fan and I know everyone goes on about his hairstyle and everything, but I did really like the no-helmet Rey/Kylo interrogation scene.

Personally, I loved kylo ren in the movie, he was better than I hoped he'd be.
As for the probable driver sculpt, it would be nice to have it, but I probably wouldn't ever display the figure with it.
I too liked the interrogation scene. I liked that he actually took the helmet off, I don't know why,
I wonder how he'll look in the next movie. I hope he keeps the helmet.
I'd assume the purpose of the helmet is to emulate Vader.Yeah, I like the helmet, but as I've said it doesn't seem to have a strong practical purpose in the movie (unlike Vader's - it's his life support) so it is possible they'd maybe lose it and make him like Anakin toward the end of ROTS. Sort of brooding (with or without Sith eyes,) long hair in the breeze and black outfit. Driver's becoming a bit more of a rising star (and will be more so in 2-3 years) so you'd think that might be the strongest reason to have him without the helmet more and more in the next Eps.
The helmet is cool - has a Nazi helmet on the back and a bit of chromed Garindan at the front.
If the Driver facesculpt was really good, I'd like to display him holding the helmet - best of both worlds. Though I just saw the Hasbro Driver sculpt and that's one you'd think twice about displaying.[emoji38]
It says in a book (can't remember if it was the art book, novelization or whatever) but it's mainly to HIDE his identity and intimidation.
Awesome, I have ANH Luke and Obi Wan and i think hot toys really made a great decision in the wiring for those figures! Should make for some fun posing
It's in the visual dictionary. I don't think everyone in the FO knows he is the son of Han Solo.
I sure hope we get a coupon code for January before this sells out. Does Sideshow still indicate "low quantity" on their site? I also have about $20 in reward points so wouldn't mind knocking $40 off of the price.
PO mine today. Hope they ship it soon. I`m new here so I would hate to get of topic, but it`s regarding KYlo so... There`s one thing I`ve been wondering about since seeing the movie a few times:
Kylo`s lightsaber is obviously "home-made". And in the flashback that Rey has of Kylo and the Nights of Ren slaying the other jedi none of the others have lightsabers. I`m thinking that its because they had not come that far in their training yet. Or that Luke had not shown them how to do it. I think Kylo made the lightsaber in secret and killed the others, who were defenceless. The best student with a lightsaber vs lesser students without lightsabers. What do you guys think?
No one yet knows who Kylo is killing in that flashback. Most podcasts ive listened to, they dont think thats Lukes school or any jedi that he's killing, reason being that its very clear that Kylo is already Kylo at that point in the flashback. He has the costume, he has the saber.
Also, Pablo Hidalgo, story group writer for Lucasfilm, said that scene takes place much closer to Force Awakens than anyone suspects. Most people seem to think that due to the strange helmet, and the fact that the other knights of ren are also dressed strangely, that who he is killing is some other member of the knights of ren.
