1: they were the only place with Deluxe Luke in stock; and with the exchange rate ship/tax are next to nothing.
2: It's done via Paypal; if something happened and it ghosted you can always just dispute the transaction.
3: Just a HT; nothing I urgently need so waiting is NBD.
4: No Other Options

I’d rather pay retail plus $22 in shipping for him and get him a month from now than pay eBay rates and get him sooner. This is not a $400-$500 figure.

All I'm saying is I know someone who's trying to track down an express mail package sent more than 5 weeks ago (to Canada) and they haven't found it yet. I guess that's on PC if it goes missing though, not the buyer.

It does feel a bit dodgy at the moment, especially when there's photos showing mountains of parcels awaiting collection. One even looked like they were stacked outside.

I ordered a few parts from Machinegun in France on Monday afternoon. It was low risk, and not such a huge distance from the UK. They emailed on Tuesday to say it was shipped, and I've just received an email from Hermes to say they have it. 17Track confirms that it's in the UK national sorting hub.

The problem seems to be with national postal organisations who partially rely upon passenger air transport, rather than with couriers who have dedicated air transport. Hence retailers charging higher costs to get things out.

I don't know how SpeedPAK fits into the equation since KG Hobby haven't charged EMS rates, but they must be more 'courier oriented' than regular airmail.

I received my DLX Optimus from KGH the other week and the only option they could offer me was ?50GBP shipping by UPS....and then I ended up having to pay ?25GBP in import fees. If that's how things are going to be until things settle down, I'm happy for KGH to not get any more of my orders in stock for the time being.

I was hoping for delays as well. Each new item releasing in Hong Kong is yet another potential problem. They clarified their timelines to me the other day:

"...hottoys we usually receive 6-8 weeks after secret base release to their customer..."


KGH sell on Ebay, so I'm surprised they haven't offered SpeedPAK before instead of EMS. Unless it's because they're only supposed to use SpeedPAK for Ebay sales? OneSixthKit recently posted that it was only for Ebay, so presumably not an option.

It's all over the place. I had one that jumped from "awaiting international departure" to supposedly being in LA, then back to "awaiting international departure", only to arrive at my doorstep the next day without notice. I have two more that were "awaiting international departure" and suddenly show as being in NY.



I'm just happy my orders seem to be arriving despite the delays and lack of reliable tracking.
