I just wish HT would make it a standard practice to include all the extra goodies with the first edition from now on though, instead of forcing us to buy another complete basic figure each time! :monkey4

Marketing :lol

I hate it, but I doubt HT will change their practices on this. They want to milk these molds if having to go through the expense of making them, so I wouldn't expect this to change.

But as mentioned before...bring on the P1 and first Alien!

Yeah, glad to hear that bout yours bro. I still can't believe that mine is so ^^^^^*** up. I mean, come on.

Here's a list of problems:
-Broken ball joint for wrist(right)
-Broken Ball joint for ankle(right)
-Shuriken unglued, the one tied on, came untied I guess(Came like that in the box.)
-unglued straps

And the worst part is, he's not even 1 day old yet.
I barely touched the guy too, I opened and built him last night at 18:30 went to bed an 0:00, but haven't touched him since 19:00(that's when he went to th detolf) woke up at 6:00 went to school till 15:00 and he started breaking sometime while I was at school.:banghead
Sorry to hear about that, elder.. atleast u got extras. It still sucks to hear of broken parts.. I still have not opened mine up yet.. Wish me luck :)

Naah, that would suck for those that bought the basic version instead. No-one FORCES you to buy the figures, so you can always pass on the variants; but how hacked off would you be if a rerelease was indisputably better?

Hopefully we don't have to worry about a battle-damaged or cleaner version of the Borg/Boar Lost Predator in another 9-10 months or so :lol

You sure about that? I think HT execs sleep in coffins, hate garlic & crosses and can only be killed by a stake to the heart or sunlight. Figure out the analogy. lol..

Yeah, a money vampire is about right. But remember... you don't have to buy the variants; free will is still involved :lol

But in honesty, if HT can continue to make awesome figures by re-issuing figures then I say more power to them.

I agree, all the R+D they have to do isn't out of the goodness of their hearts, though I'd bet a lot of talented people are putting in a hellovalot more hours than they're paid for just to get things right, and knowing there are a lot of other talented artists just waiting to jump in and take their place given the chance.
Ultimatly, as is always the case, the more you pay, the better the product. So if they can recoup more money from one figure by issuing variants (that you don't 'HAVE' to buy) then there's more cash going into the coffers to pay for the development of the next release, just good business practice.

yeah good point, if you don't want it don't buy it. Besides I want them to keep churning them out! More the merrier :D

And it also helps new collectors get Predators that they can't afford otherwise. Like me! :)

Normally I'd agree with you, but the thing that irks me about HT and their variants is, at least for me the variants feel like "completed" figures. The Cleaner Kit Wolf is what HT should've originally released. Period. I understand the variants with differences in paint.. but variants with JUST differences when it comes to accessories are strictly for companies to rip people off. And all companies do it.. but that excuse doesn't make it right. DVD releases are getting to be like that as well. You pick up the super ultimate DVD edition and 3 months later another one with more features comes out. It's garbage.

Eh. I don't mind HT variants. If I like them, I buy them. I don't consider earlier releases incomplete. You always have a choice and these are not exactly "neccesity" items.

I hate that with DVDs! You buy the 2 disc version and then a few months later they come out with the extended versions. And you don't always know about it. I did with The Lord of the Rings DVDs, so I waited till the extended ones were released. I have quite a few doubles in my DVD collection.
