I watched Begins today for the second time. Some things i liked, batman was cool in some scenes. Bruce wayne however was a different matter. Was he serious about the two girls in the hotel's bath (or just a cover)? What a man-bimbo styled Bat(e)man. I don't like how comfortable he is with his fortune, it's a bit hypocrite to fight criminals if you have every luxury in the world yourself. I don't like slick characters.

I'm sure he was faking, hes pretty messed up to find it "fun" beating up criminals in a loading dock.

Well "Bruce Wayne" is his real mask. He isn't the playboy party animal he makes the public see him as. Basically he is pretending to be Tony Stark

And while Batman Begins is good, I'm not too fond of parts of it either. The whole second half is great once he becomes Batman, but I'm not a big origns person. Now I realize this is the whole point of the film (Batman's origin) so I don't make that ruin the film for me.

But the Dark Knight looks superior because Batman is finally getting into the grove of things, the Joker shows up, and lots of crap happens and things blow up. The trailers alone are much more exciting than the BB ones. I remember rolling my eyes at yet another BB trailer playing in front of something, but can't wait to see if a TDK trailer is playing with something.

I just see BB as the ANH of the series, and TDK will be the better ESB.

I LOVED the Mask of the Phantasm. I'll have to try and watch that tommorrow.

Well they did make one TDK suit with Nipples as a Joke. IMDB says they took shots of it, but I haven't seen any. So I wouldn't doubt it

Bruce realizes that while he wants to be the Batman full time he realizes that people will become curious about where Batman is funded and how he knows Gotham so well, so he pretends to be the playboy to make people really believe that he could care less about being anything but a playboy. Its supposed to seem over the top, its supposed to be almost non believable because in reality Bruce doesn't know how to act like that he never has....

Unlike Tony of course who all of this would come naturally.

I got mine at FYE for under $10. They also have one with Sub-Zero (the Mr. Freeze movie, not Mortal Kombat).

Exactly. And it works for both characters. But Robert Downey Jr. played Tony Stark like that perfectly.

You totally missed the point, then. Because the scene in the hotel with the hot chicks happened right after Alfred lectured him about coming up with a public cover as a Billionaire playboy so as not to arouse suspicion.

Buying every hotel is a bit to excessive even for a cover. Does Bale Bruce Wayne do a allot of charity work (not really sure if i missed that or not)? That makes him more justified in fighting thugs in my opinion.

Somebody talked during the movie so i might have missed some.

Although he was drinking champaign the moment alfred came to pick him up with the plane, that spoiled bratt!!

i must say, this new Batman by Hot Toys blows that over priced Takara Batman out of the water completely..the suit is pretty darn close to screen accurate, and i never liked the feet on the Takara at all..kinda favor the Medicom even over the Takara...thought the cowl looked a bit better.
