Re: Hot Toys Terminator: Salvation-John Connor- spec + hi-res pics

I'm hoping we get the Connor Ver. 2 maybe with a hydrobot as an accessory. That would pretty interesting.

I'm also hoping we don't get any more T-600 versions. I already have the original non-mask version, and have two more on pre-order.

A moto-terminator would be pretty amazing and I don't see why we couldn't get it. Though i'm not holding out hope but I think it actually played a pivotal role in some of the action scenes. In fact it probably got more screen time than the T-600 if memory serves (i may be wrong)

If we do get more figures, I would hope for some more humans, a kyle Reese and a Blair figure. Both would go great with Marcus and with all the machines we've already gotten.

You knew something! pg 209

Got my John Connor today! Pictures do not do it justice, it is amazing! I'm still waiting for a Reese figure, but in a few months, too many pre-orders in the past few months.

I would rather have a past version of Kyle Reese (long coat, jeans, t-shirt), because not only in the first Reese too expensive, but he was only wearing the future soldier outfit for a few minutes in the original movie.

I got mine last weekend, the straps come loose every time you look at him, but he's still cool. I'm hoping for time for pictures, but it'll probably be next week.

Getting fed up of waiting for my order with Play.com to come in (keeps being pushed back here in the UK), thinking about picking this up on ebay. Anyone recommend any reliable sellers that I should check out?

Studio Sunny. I live in the UK and I get all my figures from him. Great communications, fast shipping and he marks the price low so it dosen't get caught up in customs.

Still can't figure out how to adjust the strap on johns m4a1. Hot toys might have put the buckles on incorrectly on my gun. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Ok i took some quick flash pics to try and show how i setup my johns rifle strap, i went with what i believe was how they intended it to be, which is modern military style sling.

For reference, this is the rifle strap as it came out of the box roughly, like a normal single strap you'd sling on your shoulder:

If you adjust the strap with the plastic adjusters, you can get the style i believe is correct, since it was clearly designed to do this:

It should be noted, mine at least came with the front of the strap hooked onto the rifle's front sight, NOT the metal clip on the side of the sight, where it was supposed to be, so i unstrapped it and restrapped it in the proper place, but closeups of the positions of the straps spots:

Once the strap is setup like that, its slung over his left arm and then his head, this allows the rifle to hang naturally in a downward angle on the front of his torso, for easy access, and to be brought up in proper firing position and the strap doesn't interfere with his movements, this is the style i see in all the modern military type stuff i looked at for reference, and how i'm fairly sure it was hung in the movie itself, various views:

Hope that helps.

Great great pics Tyler!..i will never get sick of looking at this amazing figure.

My NECA T2 Series 2 arrived today...hopefully my JC and Marcus next week...I can't wait to see HT apply these techniques to their T-800's...

Magnuz,

Thanks for the tip regarding the rifle's sling. I'm going to try that when I get home. I extended it out as far as I could but it's still pretty snug against his body.

Alright quick question. I have not seen the movie yet, but I see that JC came with the top part of his bandolier unclasped, and in a lot of the pics posted, it is unclasped. Is it unclasped in the movie? I went ahead and put the clasps together; this is a minor, nit-picky issue, but I want the figure to be as movie accurate as possible.
