Alright quick question. I have not seen the movie yet, but I see that JC came with the top part of his bandolier unclasped, and in a lot of the pics posted, it is unclasped. Is it unclasped in the movie? I went ahead and put the clasps together; this is a minor, nit-picky issue, but I want the figure to be as movie accurate as possible.

Sorry to be nit-picking your post but I just find it astonishing that you have NOT seen the movie YET!!!!! but bought the $$$ figure from HT dedicated to this movie AND want it to be movie accurate :D
That is some dedication but why did you not see the movie? Honestly I don't care about all the critics and reviews and wanted to see it on the big screen because it was a Terminator movie and I was still blown away!! :D I think you should really try to see it in the theaters if you still can

Michael Crawford has reviewed every figure from this movie hot toys has made and still hasn't seen the movie heh, some people just don't get to see movies as much as others.

Doesn't make the figures any less awesome.

Magnuz...
Thanks for the tips on dealing with the rifle strap....I tried it and...even with tweezers, a magnifying light and being careful, I still managed to break that front clip/hook for the strap on the front pulliing the strap through.

That thing is very fragile, folks...if you try this mod, be really careful!

I ended up threading the strap back onto the front rifle sight, but I was at least able to achieve a good tension/length with it to make it display better...so....success in my book...thanks!

Man, I am enjoying this figure so much...it's just amazing on so many levels....

Can't wait until Marcus shows up....

Thanks, magnuz for the rifle strap tips. My rifle is not plugged in anywhere in the front, it's merely looped around the front sight, so I don't have a lot of options. That said, I'm very pleased with the how the strap now looks on the figure.

Dude, I have three kids and full time job. Life gets in the way. When my kids were younger (infant and toddler age), I actually brought them with me to midnight shows (my younger brother is actually the manager of a movie theatre and I would get to see movies before release). Not so easy now.

OH don't even say that!!! I am planning a little family myself so I would loose all my time for movies??? Well at least it seems there is still time for this hobby :D

BTW anyone has found a good place to place the harpoon?

My JC is coming next week and I haven't seen the movie yet. For me, the character of John Connor is iconic, even though maybe the movie isn't. Plus with all the reviews, I had to pick this up. As for seeing movies when you have kids... It is really hard sometimes to watch movies at home. Since most of mine are inappropriate for kids (although I'm sure my daughter would easily watch the terminator with me if I gave her the chance:) ). That being said, the trade offs of having a family is way worth it.

Truer words have never been spoken.

Some movies that I consider must-see I make exceptions for. I made arrangements to see Iron Man and the Dark Knight at midnight releases. But I have to say that waiting for movies to be released on Blu-Ray is fine. I have a nice HD set up at home. So I'm waiting for this to be announced on Blu-Ray.

And as Veil1 said, the character of John Connor is iconic, and the figure is pretty bada$$.

I received my first ever Hot Toys fig last week- and it was John Connor...decided to put him together. After about an hour trying to get his accessories perfect without breaking anything, I got him together. For a Mass produced piece, he is very, very good - for the price he should be, but wow....I can see why Hot Toys in the industry leader.

I sorta got frustrated with some of the M4 pouches and whatnot - used a tad of superglue to get everything down and looking sharp.....

I did receive the T700 Hot Toys diorama and am very impressed with it as well....light up feature is very sharp!

Congrats! You've just started on a slippery slope. It's all downhill from here...for your wallet.

MY John Connor arrived today, and the paint on the front of his nose is missing a bit...did anyone else have this problem? Is there any way HT can replace the head?

Re: Hot Toys Terminator: Salvation-John Connor- spec + hi-res pics

Yeah, that was me.

Everything went smoothly, just give them a week to reply and provide them with all the info they ask for.

My first email was sent on the 9th of August and I had the replacement in my nerdy grasp on 1st of September :banana . Pretty quick really, as I am in Australia and the postal time alone can be more than a week.

Cheers :) Mario

I'm so gonna try that!

I think 'The joker' may have the same problem as you, I sold him a Connor and he just told me the problem.

Suggets you email HT!

:banana my JC should be here tomorrow or the day after, cant wait. he looks pretty awesome in the pics i've seen in the forums from people who have already got him... :rock

I had the same problem. (I seemed to be the first :sick)

What I did is email Hot Toys customer service and tell them the problem, i included my shipping address reciept (paypal transaction if you have that) and they then said that I had to send the head to them and they'll give me a replacement. Between emailing back and forth sending the head there and waiting for it back it took just over a month to get the problem fixed.

A long wait but I'm glad I did it because it's perfect now.

A few questions:

How long before they e-mailed you back?

Also, how much did it cost to send the head over there?

Was it hard to pop the head off?
