I could see that the paint work on the in hand images looks a little basic (compared to some of the recent HT work) but definitely nothing to get too worked up about. Which makes it even more impressive they would do a head exchange like this.

Haven't ordered this figure yet, but it is one I will definitely get. Just with so much coming in July I want to make sure I don't get hit with another expensive figure.

I think the paint looks ok. Compared to the Tony Stark head it looks about the same even a little better. I will admit that those were secondary heads and this one is the main figure head and it should look better. Once again, wait and see.

I don't think the fixed head is even released yet, I think at this point any photos are of the released head or the prototype.

This looks so good...

Off topic a bit for a moment....looking at how well done this intricately detailed uniform is, I have to wonder....if for whatever reason Sideshow doesn't want to tackle any of the Hoth Gear-related Star Wars figures...in a perfect world, they'd let these guys have a crack at it. Seeing how well done this one is, I'm sure anything Hoth related would be amazing....

I can't wait for this figure to hit so more pics start appearing...

While I agree that this costume is well assembled, I don't think the Hoth outfits are as complex as they may look and are easily within Sideshow's capabilities.

Hot Toys used to make only Military figures mostly..so, the John Connor outfit and gear was a breeze for them.

I am not sure but, did sideshow create Snake Eyes's gear or was that Hot Toys gear on a SS figure?..like another colaboration again between the two?.

True....this is just my covert way of nagging Sideshow for some Hoth figures...

Sure hope some fresh pictures of the JC figure appear soon...

Maybe it's just the paint apps! THe color of the skin is ugly. Hope the hot toys modification will do wonders on that one.

Cheers mate! The detail on the face is definatley there - his eyes and facial hair are very impressive. With harsh light on him or with a flash from the camera he does look very orange but under natural light he looks fine. His cheeks and forehead could benefit from more texture detail - If that is what Hot Toys are improving then It should be amazing. Studio Sunny from ebay messaged me and told me I could contact him once the new head is avaliable to arrange something. The quality of the clothing and weapony is fantastic and the leather jacket is made of very thin material therefore not impeeding the articulation. the headset that clips into his ear is a great touch and stays in place very well - I imagined it would be constantly falling out.

I'll try and take some more snaps when I get the chance!
