Received my John Connor Today.

The wear and gear is simply awesome.!!
The headsculp is fine (looks a bit glossy or something..) but it could be better.I will contact to my hong-kong seller asking for the head replacement.

I'm afraid I may have to give Connor the ax! With so many things shipping this month (Vader, Stormie Han & Luke, Toht Ex), he's the figure that stands apart from my mostly SW and Indy collection. I'm really heartbroken by this, and I will definitely try to find him later on.

I won't cancel til we get the processing notices, though, just in case he gets pushed back a bit--with enough time to replenish my funds.

Oh, I feel your pain, JIm! I just went through this same angst and gave Toht and Han/Luke ST's the ax....it was tough, but can't afford it all right now.

My logic (flawed as it may be to some) is...Han & Luke look good, but I already have multiple versions of these two in my display and frankly, these two would've probably stayed in the box.

As for Toht...after seeing those final shots of the Ark...well, it looks more like an artist's "interpretation" of it as opposed to a replica...the look, the finish...just doesn't look quite right, so...I'll get Toht on his own later.

As for John Connor...this movie is my favorite of the summer and this figure just looks fantastic. In addition to that. I've been wanting to get a HT figure for a while now to see what all the fuss is about and this character will be that introduction to HT for me.

I emailed Studio Sunny about my John and he said that HT had pulled the pre-order stock for him and that he will be getting the new heads at the end of July.

Have you got one from Sunny then?

I just assumed he meant that he's not sending anymore pre-orders out until HT redo the heads, which will be the end of the month. So I'll have to wait until then to get my figure.

Yeah, it's a hard decision. Although I'm going to stall canceling as much as possible! Like you, this would have been my first "regular" Hot Toys figure. I say "regular" since I have Hot Toys Deunan Knute. But since she's in a rubber suit, I don't think I got a good impression of the true type body (Deunan has disappointingly limited articulation because of the suit).

All your points about Han/Luke and Toht are spot-on. Those are all the same arguements I gave myself. But like I mentioned, Connor will be very much out of place among the rest of my collection. I didn't watch Terminator Salvation (yet), so I don't even have any real connection to the character either (beyond the other 3 Terminator movies). But it's such a brilliant design that I was desperately drooling over it. Hopefully I'll have the funds when this is ready to ship. Otherwise I'll have to get it later down the line.

One thing i cant stand about these figures is how were told that its coming out in so and so month, and then magically it gets pushed back and back, its so annoying. I would love it if i would actually receive a figure in the month im orginally told, because i kinda plan out when im SUPPOSED to get them so i dont have so much money going out at one time. But now i have a feeling im gonna get stuck with like 3 figures in one month.

I feel you Lost, I'm going to Japan in August since it's rare I get a vacation and can actually do some traveling but I'm assuming shortly after I return this head will be ready and so will the DX Joker. In other words, crap, I'm going to be eating Ramen for a month or two for dinner. Oh well, it'll be painful but worth it.

I think that waiting and perhaps being stuck with a few figures trades better than having the figure on time with obvious and unacceptable mistakes.

Well...considering they want it to look as good as possible, that's not too long....heck, we're halfway through July already! Can't wait to see some updated shots...

Ya, especially without knowing how many heads are being replaced, possibly every single figure's, that's quite a recovery time in my book, the heads have to be painted, swapped out, no small task.

I have HT John Connor with the "old" headsculp..and I would say is pretty good..But if Hottoys going to release a "new" better Headsculp,then is ok.. and fine for me because I would have 2 Bales Headsculps.
